    Default Reliance Broadband are the biggest cheats in the world

    I am currently in the USA since January 2011 and have been receiving bills for usage since then while the house is locked. I have called the call centre many times to cancel the account and have the charges removed, but still today the connection has not been closed and another bill of Rs1400 was sent. My account number is 234 167 343 385.
    Complaint numbers were 145764621, 145764762, 149836795, 149836561. I have spoken to many representatives and supervisors, the worst was a supervisor named Usha who has zero intelligence and could not understand the simplest request.
    Reliance is a company that gets profits by cheating its customers making charges for non-existent services. If you have any choice of providers, please do not ever choose Reliance again.

    Not just Reliance ... many others are guilty of the same practice.

    1. When you wish to disconnect, they will simply take down your request but never process it.
    2. The Billing/Accounts dept is never informed.
    3. When you call up again, they will say that they have processed the request from your end but the "other" department has not acted on it.

    I had similar issue, albiet with Airtel Mobile. But I had submitted requests in writing. On the duplicate, I had taken the "Received" stamp with signature, date, etc. Yet, I received the bill. I refused to pay it. The next month, the call came from call center about non-payment. I told them that I had made a written request for cancelllation of services and quoted the date. That resolved the issue.

    This is the best advice I have seen to date!!!! All Reliance call agent staff and employees are idiots and there is no use at all arguing with them!!!!! To date I have not come across even one employee of this vast company who is not an idiot - they make huge profits by employing idiots who constantly overbill customers and are so stupid that any sane consumer ends up paying the bill as they can never win an argument with an idiot.

    Ha! Ha!

    You are so right. But that does not solve our problems. You can just do one thing right now - ignore the bill and send an email to customer care that you had asked for termination long back and do not intend to pay for bill when services were not required, asked for, or used.

    I am troubled with these people too...

    my problem: Frequent disconnections with unpredictable time intervals.
    from: March 31 2011 till date..

    when I call customer care the conversation goes pretty much like this..
    me:"my customer ID is 351887201606 my problem is frequent disconnection, I've been facing the same problem from 31'st march and I've logged numerous complaints previously but you don't do any thing."
    cc:"I've logged your complaint, you won't face the problem again as i have escalated the complain to highest priority"
    me:"I've heard that before!"
    cc:"sorry, sir for your inconvenience but this time your problem will be fixed."
    me:"I've heard that too before."
    the engineer:
    called on Saturday I gave my address, he said he is near the place, he will be there in 15 min.
    waited for 4 hours (hungry as I didn't time to eat as i was wating..) then he called and said "your phone was unreachable" (a pathetic excuse as he already had my address and I never left.)
    finally on 2'nd of May he arrived,
    did some settings on the antenna via telnet,
    changed LAN cable,charged me Rs.120 for the same.
    refused to give proper bill, and said old cable was faulty, and a sector in antenna was locked due to software bug, and claimed "I guarantee that yo won't face the problem for at least 6 months from now", and left..
    BTW, the 6 month guarantee did not even work for 6 hours..
    nodal officer: the second conversation was (first one was almost same as cc)
    me:"My customer ID........ I had previously called nodal office the problem still remains........"
    nodal representative:"so engineer visited; you should have confirmed if the problem is resolved when the engineer visited."
    me:"no i cannot immediately confirm as the problem is ...bla.bla.bla.... so until net gets disconnected i cannot confirm."
    nr:"so you need engineer visit."
    me:"ok but previous time he visited, he changed LAN patch cord charged me Rs.120,refused to give proper bill,supposedly unlocked sector in antenna config and left."
    nr:"but you should have checked if the problem was resolved then, before he left."
    me:"but net could get disconnected in a hour or a day or a week"
    nr:"you should confirm if the issue is resolved before engineer leaves; I will schedule a engineer visit for you."
    above all their policy NOT to give direct numbers of any person except nodal office leaves only way to communicate the cc or nodal officer.. (even the calls you receive from engineer/rapid response team can't be called back.)

    THE PROBLEM IS DEFINITELY IN THE ANTENNA (SS/BS) AS, WHEN THE NET IS DISCONNECTED THE ANTENNA SHOWS RANGE AS ZERO.

    I HAVE SAME PROBLEM
    i was having netconnect cdma 1 X modem
    i told them that i was sent wrong bill so i will not pay wrong bill and then they terminated mine services after few dyas , and i got it in writing that mine services is terminated but they kept on sending bill and i was told till i pay the bill with wrong amount i will get bill every month .

    and so the point is even if they terminate the service they keep on sending bill even if i dont have that services activated with me.
