Thread: How is Reliance Broadband ??

I am from Kolkata. I want to shift from Wishnet to reliance bcoz very crappy service by our local cable walas. My main requirement is online gaming (so good ping necessary) & good download speed. I talk to one of the reliance's Representative. He says the plan best suited plan for me 500 kbps UL at Rs. 600 + Rs. 500 for activation charge. Is it worth? actually i cant find any clear tariff for reliance.

here i saw many people complain about dere bad service.

so plz suggest me if it is good for me or not. or anyone have any suggestion then plz suggest me.

I have been using the wireline combo plan for a year so far, I find it good! Also the ping is pretty okaish! Doesn't jitter much!

I would say go for those combo plans ... 600kbps morning and 1mbps at night! Really awesome deal and the speeds are pretty good! As soon as ya get the connection configure a good dns like googledns or opendns, or else will end up not opening of many sites. dns from reliance is that bad!

Some are finding it good! Many are finding it bad! Personal experiences, cant comment on them! Since I also pay my bills online and regularly! No fuzz so far!

Reliance offers poor quality service outside metro's

request 2 all plz plz plz never purchase any product of reliance as i had purchases and suffered a lot u all will be surprised 2 know that within 1month i was given 3 new MDN numbers .they always deactivate the connection and when i reached the nearest customer care for a complain after 4 to 5 day they provide me new mdn number...and they donot tell the exact reason they just say problem was at the backend....i am frustrated with this reliance connection....and the speed is not that much good...since i am from ghaziabad...so spee must not be the isssue,but speed is vey poor...and their is no consistancy in the speed....sometimes good and many times worst....and at the customer care centre none of the persons are reasonable...since they all r students....they even do not know how 2 work.....every thing is bhagwan bharose ....i dont have any idea of any other connecton...my brother is using mtnl spped is good and consistant....but thoda costly hai...so i purchased reliance....companies claim they provide speed of 3.1 mbps...but 1mbps bhi aa zaye to lagega sapna sach ho gaya...these companies treats customers as fool...i dont know what govt. is doing....kya unhe bhi companies paise khilate hai....saale sab chor hai...public ki mazboori ka fayda uthate hai....saala unka paisa .paisa hota hai aur humara kuch bhi nahi.....en saalo pe to case thok dena chaiyea...bhi en 1 month me main etna pareshan houa hu ki kya batao....saalo ne customer care ka phone no dia wo bhi toll free nahi hai....jab claa karo to representative busy batlata hai...aur paise bhi kaat leta hai....so i request all of my brother and sister never purchase reliance....if any one need any help plz contact me on piyush.bit.05@gmail.com......thanks

go for reliance only if u find a service where you invest minimum...
such that you can easily ditch it..
don't expect the reliance to follow any tari regulations, as those are simply ignored by them..
if the connection is good... it is awesome, else it sucks to bring you nightmares. (even after knowing the fault the people took 2 months to fix it at their antenna, +1 month to discover it.. and the engineer says arrogantly "If you need better service pay me extra.!!" or else he doesn't visit you; the CC gives wrong info and dumb replies all the time.. AND NO THEY CANNOT FORWARD THE CALLS TO SENIORS).

reliance is not cheap and best it is cheap n worst..........ambani hum bhartiyo ko loot ke etne paise kaama rakha hai...

detto buddy.. me from kolkata too ... i wanted to take up a rel conenction . after trying for 2 3 weeks what i all hear is my area has no availibity . if a national isp like rel cannot increase there infrastucture there is very little we can expect from them
