Thread: reliance wired broadband in kolkata help required

hello friends,

i am currently using bsnl bb of 750 UL plan which is **** for online games.......
hence after 3.2 years its time to say goodbye.... to bsnl

so, i was thinking about reliance broadband combo plan of 699 or surf addiction 500.

i live in garia near st. stephens college.

here are my queries which i need to resolve...

1. how is the quality of line and reliability?
2. latency in cs 1.6 in servers which bsnl gives 80-110 latency? (delhi or mumbai based servers)?
3. server downtime and connection problems frequency?
4. billing issues in ul plans (if any)
5. at the time of termination of broadband proceedure and time taken for complete removal of wire,modem etc....?
6. customer care helpful or not?
7. has dynamic ip or not?
8. and last but importantly speed given in king pack 699 plan?

anyone who uses reliance wired line in kolkata can answer.... please don't write if u are wireless user since the experience is completely different.

See How Linear the graph is without any fluctuations..... CONSTANT SPEED!!!

and cs 1.6 pings of all indian servers are below 40!!!.........suck it bsnl!

i am happy and satisfied with the connection as it was given on 5th day after being applied....

so stop fooling around and spreading rumours about how bad reliance is without actually using it yourself.

Even i m pissed of with my isp...was planning for mtnl or reliance...i stay in mumbai...n i also play cs 1.6 ol...though i knw ping wld obviously differ over here...but then to approx (avg) ping u get on d servers ???

30-40 max on all good cs 1.6 indian servers here in kolkata you should get much better since all servers are hosted in delhi or mumbai.....
and also low pings on speedtest.net (vodafone chennai,mumbai servers)
go for ace or super ace combo plans and experience speed.

sad...yesterday i called Reliance CC...n they said its available in my area...n took down my no. & address...2day i got a call...n the person says feasibitly is not there in my area..i told him yest ur executive told me its there...so he says he is fiedl person who looks after d connections n issues...so it isnt there..he says he is sure abt it

no problem find a reliance junction box near your home (which i did) and see the distance if within 80mtrs....
if yes you get the connection if not you miss it.
