Default pls help to setup dlink dir 600 router inplace of binatone dt 815 given by reliance.

hi friends i just got a reliance brdbnd connection.
they have given me a - binatone dt 815 adsl2+router but it does not have wifi.
    i have a dlink dir-600 wireless 150 wifi router.
i want to use the dlink router inplace of the binatone.
i do not want to connect the binatone to the dlink instead i want to connect the net wire directly to the dlink and use it as my modem/router and it has wifi.

right now i have made the following connection

    1. i have connected the RJ-11 connector(commonly known as a phone jack or phone connector) into the "internet" slot on the dlink.

    2. then i connected the RJ45 connector(commonly known as lan/network cable) one end to p.c lan port and other end to lan port on the dlink.

i do not know how to configure the dlink, i think that is the problem,
also i am not sure if i should connect the RJ-11 connector(phone jack) into the "internet" slot on the dlink.bcoz in that slot i am able to fit the RJ-11 AND RJ-45 both.

pls help me how to do this.
    thank u.

Dlink dir600 appears to be a standalone wifi router.
It need an inputRJ45 from an adsl modem to its wan port.
There is no RJ11 port ( like for telephone )
    BinatoneDT815
confirm you can set BinatoneDT815 in PPPoE mode
( userid/PW entered in wan page of modem )
Enable dhcp range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10
Assuming the menu pages will be similar to Beetel 110TCI

If not same please post screen shot of device status.

    Dir 600:
dlink and use it as my modem/router and it has wifi...
Not possible adsl modem not incorporated.
    ftp://ftp10.dlink.com/pdfs/products/...DIR-600_ds.pdf
    http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DIR-600
Remove Rj45 from computer end and connect to WAN/Internet port .
From LAN1 another rj45 to computer.
    TRY the wizard.
Change IP address in LAN to 192.168.2.1 ( for Dlink )
confirm Internet works in LAN mode.
    Then wifi.

    feedback.

it is very disappointing to know that i cannot directly connect my dlink and use wifi. waste of electricity if i have to connect binatone and dlink both.
reliance wire--->binatone--->dlink--->wifi (running 2 power adapters waste of electricity)
    i was hoping for
reliance wire--->dlink--->wifi (no need of binatone i save electricity and get wifi too)

    pls explain the following

and i want to tell u when i connect the RJ-11(phone jack) into the dlink internet port it gives a "click" sound(which i think means it is proper fit) and in the network connection my lan card is shown as connected, it does not show limited/no connectivity(yellow icon on lan card) or network cable unplugged (red cross icon), it shows normal icon and no error.

i want to post pics but i do not have 15 posts.

    thank u for ur reply.

When you connect RJ11 from the adsl splitter direct to Dlink Dir600(RJ45 port )the data signal cannot be decoded .

    In this condition
post screenshot ( as jpg) fitting this forum page
    connection status.

Calculate the wattage for each: Modem and wifi router.
A 10W device ( say bulb) used for 10 hours daily will consume 3 Units.per month.

You can buy a 3-in 1 adsl modem+4lan port +wifi for about Rs 2500/= to save on Electricity.

    feedback.
