I live in East Delhi (Mayur VIhar 3), where I applied for a connection for 2Mbps, unlimited. I was planning to take the 4Mbps but the local guy who came to my home convinced me to take 2Mbps, as its not possible to take 4Mbps directly for a fresh connection. He convinced me and I agreed to take the 2Mbps. According to the customer care there are no issues even if I apply for a 4Mbps connection directy. Who is wrong here, the customer care or the local feild officer??
Anyway, I gave him all the documents required and a cheque for 1700, and he assured me that the connection will be installed with in 5 days. This was on October 16th. Now its November 4th, and so far there is no connection.
I have called the customer care numerous times, and all they do is escallate the complaint and assure a call back with in 48hours, but so far I have not received any. The local guy here says that there is no "port" to give me a connection. If he knew this, why the f*** did he take the documents? The cheque amount is also debited from my accout! He says that I can get the refund with in 2 months.
Even with the "port" issues on, the local guys still roam around to convince the customers into their trap.
My advice to East delhi residents, try getting MTNL, as an alternative. I am still waiting for the response from this local feild officer.
Any inputs regarding this "ports" is highly appreciated.
