    Default Reliance port availability problem

    Hi all,
i have applied for a Reliance wired broadband connection, Night Booster Zoom 1 plan Day 1 Mbps, Night 2 Mbps 1499 rs Plan. I had given the installation amount and got a mail from Reliance showing my plan.

The worst part is it is already 15 days over and i have not got the connection. I have given a series of complaints both in customer care no 1800 3000 7777 and in mail to broadbandrelianceada and even to Rcom nodal officer Karnataka. They are only saying that they have forwarded my request to the concerned team but till now no one has called me.

When i am calling to the person whom i had given the documents, he is telling that now ports are not available in my area. Once ports will be available he will bring technician for the connection.

I am not sure whether he is telling the truth or not. Has anybody faced the same problem? Please help me....

If you have paid any advance/installation charges etc,
    ask for REFUND to get
some other BB service or WIFI mode with USB modem.

Probably there is no spare telephone number available in the Reliance exchange. You may have to wait till some one surrenders his Reliance telephone. in your area.

Do you have a BSNL Telephone ( Landline ?)
Home 750 U/L No FUP speed 512 Kbps ( likely to be increased to 1 Mbps soon ) may be tried.

I have used 750 512 Kbps plan for 1 year but since last 6 months i was using BSNL microsim 999rs plan 2Mbps U/L. Sadly it was closed by BSNL and i can't degrade to 512 Kbps speed . At least i want 1Mbps for surfing and 1 or 2Mbps for downloading.

Taking Bsnl 512 Kbps connection for 825rs(including Tax) and Night (2am to 8am) 550rs 2Mbps U/L is almost same as Reliance night booster plan. That's why i am going for Reliance....

I have no idea about the up gradation of plans in BSNL . If is it so it will revolutionize the broadband services of India. Can you tell me more abt this.....

The person who came to collect the documents...it was his responsibility to verify whether free ports are available in your locality. Only then he should have taken the installation amount from you. Over here, he did the exact opposite of what was actually supposed to be done.

It will be wiser to ask for refund of the installation amount. What else are you going to do? Reliance will start issuing bills at the end of the month. They will do so because according to their database, you are already using their connection.

Cannot do anything when rogue guys act as salesmen. They are selfish and accept the installation amount from unsuspecting customers. They do so, so that they can meet their monthly deadline.

I have already asked for the refund through mail.. but no one is replying to me... only the same system generated mail "we regret the inconvenience caused" is coming...

Its better to apply through the Reliance website or call directly to the customer care for the new connection.... Previously i had no idea about this... Now regretting & hanged up ...

"New users apply directly through Reliance. Do not trust the Reliance salesman or any broadband salesman"

In the meantime, after a few days, visit the nearest reliance world showroom and ask for the detailed status of your requests.

    Hi,

I faced the same issue here in East Delhi, last month. See my previous thread.
I think there is no coordination between the marketing team and the technical team. Once they take the advance and other documents from you, the marketing officers are least bothered about you.

I'd suggest you to call the nodal officer in your area. I did the same and got the connection with in a week. The marketing peoples are a** h****. They just want to finish their target sales.

Dude i have already called the nodal officer 3 times. The salesman was not picking my phone, the nodal officer took us in conference. But the salesman repeated the same thing.. ports are not available. He was giving dates only but no connection till date....... and i think i will not get the connection till the ports will be empty.
