Unhappy Reliance Wimax with ADSL2+ Modem Router

    Hi,
I took new reliance wimax connection, and i want to use wifi router for using on my mobile too.
i am totally new in this networking. so i don't know the concepts about routers and it's type.
i bought Linksys Wireless-N Home ADSL2+ Modem Router (WAG120N) because then vendor told me only this will work for Reliance wimax.
is Reliance Wimax giving ADSL line???
After reading these forum i come to know that this will not work with that router.
    is this right??
i have not opened that box yet so i can replace that with another so if this is not the recommended router then which one is suitable for this wimax connection???

i know this may be new thread for repeated topic sorry for that.
    Please Help.

NOT suitable. WAG120 using this model not tried /reported working.
    ( But may work)

Buy ONLY a wifi router cost around Rs 1500/=
    Example Netgear WGR614V9.

    Para two:
Are you using a Laptop or desktop ?

Smile Reliance Wimax with ADSL2+ Modem Router

    Means no modem required. right??
i am going to use on laptop(wifi) and desktop(wired) too..
normal router will work for sure??
my friend is using dlink dir300 on same wimax..
is there any router having best signal strength, so i can use anywhere in my 3 floor house?? around 2000/2500Rs.
So finally i will replace that router without testing.

    Option 1 :
Test with your friend's router and buy the same model.
( settings can be saved and transferred to your unit if needed )

    option 2:
    No wifi router.
TESTING:In friends ( or yours) laptop having wlan card ( internal in motherboard or externally)

Download and install free application "CONNECTIFY" to make it a wifi AP.
Access point. ( within limited range )
( Wimax input connected to laptop ).

Desktop will require WLAN card ( later)
Test whether your laptops/ phones can connect Reliance WimaX network.
    Feedback.

    Talking

Don't use ADSL modem for Reliance wimax....
    Reliance come with RJ45 connecter
and ADSL modem has RJ11 Port which phone cable has....
For Reliance Wimax use normal router which is near to 1700-1800Rs.
    i am using Dir N300 (D-link)

    1.
In WAN page , select " bridged", and other settings as usual.
](Another suggestion was to use "MER" similar to above .
Option not available in teracom models.

    2.
Instead of WAN port ( In a stand alone Router ) connect to LAN1.
Connect another Rj445 from LAN2 to desktop.
Confirm you access Internet and can surf.
If O.K Wireless mode also will work.

    3.
( I am having a similar setup with BSNL landline Broadband/ STATIC IP selected in WAn page )
Tested a wifi BB with both WAN and LAN input in a stand alone wifi router.

    4.
Consider your unit as a switch.
In Stand alone wifi router ( Netgear wgr614v6 etc ) select Dynamic IP.
    Feedback please.

    5.
If purpose is to use a cellphone in wifi mode,, consider installing application
"Connectify" in laptop connected to wimax.
laptop can work as AP ( Access Point ) limited range.
( built in wlan card in mother board or external PCMCIA wlan card needed )

In Desktop also a PCI WLAN card can be inserted for above method.
