Default Configuring Netgear DGN1000 modem for Reliance BB

    Hello,
I am trying to configure netgear dgn 1000 modem for new reliance broadband connection. It is obvious that it requires login credentials.

However, if I am trying to configure as PPPoE, it is not connecting. I can see the IP address if I configure it as DHCP. It works if the modem is configured to act as DHCP server to allocate IP address to the PC. If I want to use a static IP address for the PC and remove DHCP server settings in the modem, it doesn't work.

What could be the issue? I even tried with Netgear tech support and they were not able to configure and Reliance people won't provide details on this. Anybody can help?

Visit the "neglected" sister BSNL forum here .
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...idge-mode.html (Netgear N150 DGN1000 in Bridge mode)
    (c)
    Access the "hidden" link.
    (d)
You may have to select Modem mode .
    (e)
Post screenshot jpg menu page which opens ,as attachment after above option is selected.

Also device info of Reliance supplied ADSL modem.

    Default BB Plans of Reliance

    Hello,
Sorry for delayed reply. All these days I was trying to work with Reliance tech people to know what the issue is.

Finally they say that the connection is in some AUTHENTICATED plan and we have to change it non-AUTHENTICATED plan. So, I will have to cancel the account now. Pay extra again for fresh installation for something I don't know if it is genuine.

I really feel they are trying to fool people. But as a last try, do tell me if something like authenticated and non-authenticated plans exist for DSL broadband.

Forget about DGN1000, it works fine. Now I have taken a Sonicwall device to replace Negear router.

    Thanks
