Thread: Setup/Configure D-Link DSL 2730 U WiFi Modem with Reliance Broadband

Hi

I have just purchased a new D-LInk ADSL router.

I do not know how to configure it with my reliance broadband connection.
The modem they have provided, just needs to be plugged in with the LAN cable and one can login on their reliance website to access the net.

Please help me with step by step setup.

i doing the thing you said essbebe , but i get PPP down with my sl2_141 modem any suggestions?

Both models are similar. ( menu etc , +additional facilities )
What kind of broadband connection of Reliance you use ?
Any modem/router supplied by them ?

i use the cable one , and they provided binatone dt815 but i dont use it i connect the rj11 cable directly to my modem sl2_141 and keeping settings similar to bsnl i get PPP down all the time

If you can connect in PPPoE ( "always On")
( Reliance Userid/PW entered /stored in Internet page of modem)
with PVC 2 vpi/vci 0 and 35

Probably you are not entering Id etc properly.

well if i do the PPPoE ... and enter reliance user id password it says PPP down all he time but when i change it from PPPoE to MER ( MAC Encapsulation Routing) it works but i need to login all time,
can you tell me what wrong i am doing in editing the PPPoE as vpi/vci is 0 and 35 but i dont find pvc anywhere
but i only use the siemens modem as there is no use of binatone in it i suppose
