Thread: BB Reliance Plans

Hello,
I have taken a new connection. While taking the connection, the reliance person said that we can configure it to a firewall. After I took the connection, it doesn't get configured. When I contacted techies of reliance, they say that the connection is in some AUTHENTICATED plan and we have to change it non-AUTHENTICATED plan. So, I will have to cancel the account now. Pay extra again for fresh installation for something I don't know if it is genuine.

I really feel they are trying to fool people. But as a last try I am checking with the people here. Do tell me if something like authenticated and non-authenticated plans exist for DSL broadband (or it is only in case of Reliance).

I am trying to configure it in Sonicwall.

- I am not sure what a dialer is. But I don't think any such thing is installed.

Assuming your ZTE model is XDSL 831 AII check this website link for settings

am trying to configure it in Sonicwall.

needs adsl modem to configure for wifi.
Setting this up can be done after you get connected to Reliance Broadband now.






Confirm you have user manual
Not a free trial but a registered version ( subscription paid etc )
Confirm Home use and not for a business establishment.

( can be downloaded from their web site. Not important.

How many systems you intend to use ? wifi mode and or lan mode ?

Any update about your situation? Did they really make you additional amounts for the re-installation? From your post, it seems like the Reliance guys messed up something on their end and is trying to wriggle out of the situation by putting the blame on you.
