Yes Morphis, you are right, I can not get the Reliance IP address using my router. Router assigns me the IP address as 192.168.1.101. But I can not access Reliance Wi-Max. Even in status link of router website the IP Address shown is 0.0.0.0.
Typically all setting which I make on my router work only for a day or till the power failure whichever is earlier.
Setting per say I follow following process for resetting & things start working again:
1. Factory Reset
2. Use Reset Wireless Security using the Green Button
3. Clone Mac Address
The user id and password as support to telnet does not seems to be working. Any idea what should be done.

I can log in with the usr id and password given by reliance, but whenevr i open a site it shows the page can not be displayed, sometimes a few sites opens such as google, bbc, yahoo fronte page, but you cant do anything means if i want to logi in yahoo i cant, and even cant search anything on google
using speedtest.net or Speed Measurement Tool
and if upload speed is Zero, join other unfortunates souls on the discussion Wimax - upload issues..
Looking at you symptoms, I feel it is Zerop upload speed issue..
Its simply a problem with ur SSBOARD(terrace antennae)...its not getting the right signal strength, try to re-allign the antennae in the direction whre from it gets a DL-CINR signal more than atleast 17(which u can chk out by following the first page rules of dis thread) i hope ur prob will get solved...i personally do dis with my antennae bcoz at the time of setup of my connection, the tower(which can be seen frm my terrace) to which the technicians placed my antennae to face now doesnt work at all, now my antennae faces a tower which is not visible from my terrace n its working fine now....if in case u dont get ur prob solved call up the technician who had setup ur connection n get ur SSBOARD replaced free of cost...n mind it, they'l change it, coz i hav got mine changed last week....thanks!!

i aint facing ne probs with uploading...u guys chk out the version of the reliance server version to which ur hooked upto, previously it used to b somthin xxxxxE.185.xxx n the latest is xxxxM.185.xxx....try to get it updated stating ur subscriber ID with the tech dept....im sure some of u r still hooked up to the older version since some of u still can choose the base station antennae of ur choice which is not available in the newer version...thanks!!
i have only one problem that i am not able to login for more than 5 hours , i called and complainted at R-care but they ****ers says that there is a system in reliance that ur IP is refreshed after every 5 hours so u have to login again and again after every 5 hours,
is there any solution .
I tried all the scripts etc.
i am in deep need of the solution...
if there is no solution plz CLEAR THAT THING.....
plz help me
i dont understand one thing, dre r various problems dat many r facing but the most interesting part is i dont get ne such probs at all(i kno its hard 2 bliv but mebbe im one of their oldest customers till date dats y dey take good care of my account) n if i dont get 2 face such probs personally, it becomes very difficult to solve dese kinda probs remotely...i hav already posted solutions for each n every prob dat i faced till date n will b posting in the near future if ne prob arises...n i think i hav been able to solve queries for many who hav faced probs similar to me...thank you!!!
wheneva i switch on my connection it acquires an IP whose lease time is always 10mins...when i reach the 8th min, the lease automatically extends upto 2hours without my running connection getting terminated, then when i reach 1:45mins the lease extends up to 8hours n when i reach the 6th hour the lease extends upto 24hrs....dis has become a routine for me!!! u can ask the technical department stating the routine lease that i mentioned in here...i hope dey might get 2 solve ur prob...TIA!!!
mebbe its da way for the 75kbps plan, i hav got the 150kbps unlimited plan, n it goes the way i mentioned in my earlier post...mebbe upgradation to a higher plan would solve ur problem!!!
m0rphis, Are you in Bangalore? Just wondering if it is a Bangalore centric problem with Reliance Wimax. May be they configured the BS you access properly..
yup im in bangalore...i stay in bagalkunte...its near to peenya dasrahalli...my bs station which the reliance guys intially tilted my antennae to, works no more for me...the antennae is hardly half a km frm my house(which is visible thru naked eye) but now i dont recv ne damn signal frm it...coincidentally one day, while searchin for one single byte frm the air, frm ne direction dats possible i discovered a direction from whre i was getting a decent amount of signal(but mind it i could c no antennae neither thru naked eyes nor with the binoculors)...finally i re-alligned my antennae to dat direction permanently n it works fine till date...
hello to all...just got to know about this forum 2day...
n m finding it pretty useful...tho i don't hav any probs yet...just usefull in getting all the knowledge about wimax
i'm using reliance wimax in Delhi and unlike many...i'm enjoying the connection...
i'm just one mont into my new connection and just twice i think i had a problem "authentication failed". but not for too long... so m happy with the service
happy specially when i notice the downloading speed...i've a flat fee 150kbps plan...and i'm getting on average 17-18kBps...or more...isn't that good???![]()
don't know if u know or not...
but the speed mentioned by the reliance provider is kbps (kilo bits per second)
whereas, when u notice the download speed during any process of downloading, you see the speed in kBps (kilo bytes per second)
and 1byte = 8bits...
so u can calculate what download speed u should get with what plan...
for example...i'm on a 150kbps plan...so i get around 17-20kBps speed (150/8 = 18.75)
it's not that it is static...the speed sometimes reaches the 40kBps mark...but i get what i should atleast get...
i know the post may look stupid to many...may be the moderators and seniors too, as they are far more experienced.,..
but just thot of sharing the information here![]()
