Default it worked

dear friends,
thanks for all your help.
actually its not that difficult as i thought, using a so called reliance broadband single login account on multiple computer/laptops over a wifi.

i just used a wifi router after the modem. and logged in via laptop ..
visited reliance website inserted id and pw, after that switched on 2nd laptop got conneted to router and it gave me stream lined access to internet.

note : i didnt cloned the mac id as suggested. but tried same process by swapping the laptops and found no need to do that. but if required i'll do that.

thanks again for all your help.

people should use this simple trick rather than to buy corporate pack which cost1 mbps for some 4k...
regards
gurpal singh

I have the same plan now and get 35-45 KB/s too You can of course use a router.

I noticed that torrents get upto 100KB/s if you have a seed/peer on the same Reliance network who doesn't cap his/her upoad, possibly with the same first 6 digits of the IP address. You also get 1MB/S if you download something from Reliance servers - try PC Protect.

I am not sure I understand you fully. Are you able to login to the modem at all - if not how did you try port forwarding configuration?

The user id/pwd for this modem from a quick google are:
User ID: ADSL
Password: expert03

1) For ZXDSL 831V4.0_B04, the super username and password are “ZXDSL” and “ZXDSL”.
2) For ZXDSL 831V4.0.1_B04, the super username and password are “administrator” and “ad1606″.
3) For ZXDSL 831V4.0_B04 and ZXDSL 831V4.0.1_B04, the common username and password are “user” and “user”.

You can try the utorrent test on port forwarding and let us know the results.

Ok, are you able get into the configuration on 192.168.1.1?
What did you do to configure ports?

I would say the first step is to check if the forwarding is fine with uTorrent test. If it aint broken don't fix.

If you are in bridged mode, you will need to first disconnect the telephone line going into the router/modem to open 192.168.1.1
Otherwise the Reliance home page will pop up.

If that doesn't work even, try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.2
