Default Problem setting up wifi using a Buffalo router with Tomato

    Hello.

I have a Reliance Wireline broadband connection. It's the kind where I have to log in on the Reliance page once to access the internet. If the internet is idle for sometime (20min I think), the session expires and I have to login again. Even if the internet's in constant use, the session expires after 24hrs, at which point I have to login again.

Now, when I connect to the internet via my LAN cable, it's smooth as butter. But when I plug the LAN cable into my wifi router (Buffalo, rooted with Tomato firmware), things get sketchy. The internet *does* work. I have seen the login page and actually surfed the internet via wifi for sometime, but the problem is it's not smooth. After sometime the internet will stop responding and I won't understand what to do. Google Chrome gives such a message - (attached to this post)

When I remove the router for a bit and access via the LAN, it works smoothly again. And I have done this enough times to discard it being a coincidence.

Something's definitely not right with my wifi settings. And I am a noob when it comes to Tomato firmware so I have no idea how to rectify this problem (which revolves around DNS, I'm guessing). So, can any of you point me to the settings on my wifi router I need to change so I can use wifi smoothly again? It would be a huge help!

Mention modem model/make supplied by Reliance ( ZTE zxdsl 831 Aii ???)
Have you to log in everytime ?
Remove rj45 from computer end and connect to WANport of Netgear.
    Select NO Select Dynamic IP
Try LAN mode. ( another rj45 to computer desktop) log in
    try wifi
    Feedback.

Checked the back of my router. It's, apparently, InnoMedia MTA6328-1Be2S.

What do you mean when you ask if I have to log in every time? When I connect to the Internet (via LAN or WAN), I am redirected to this webpage where I have to enter my credentials. I can then surf for the next 24 hours or till I leave my connection idle, whichever is idle. In that case, the session expires and I have to log in again.

Also, I'm sorry but I didn't exactly get what you were telling me to do. Select "No" where? And in which menu will I get to Select Dynamic IP?

I hope the added info I gave helps. Please continue with the suggestions!

You have no access to any other unit other than Netgear wifi router .
Can you access Innomedia settings ?)
    NETGEAR:
Basic settings; question about id/PW from ISP No
    In WAN dynamicIP
    DNS : auto
LAN Ip address for wifi router say 192.168.2.1
    wireless settings as usual.
Now try to log in wifi mode.
    Feedback.
