Rep Power: 0 | Hi, This is to bring to notice the harrowing experience I have had with RELIANCE Broadband connection. (300kbps Unlimited) I was without an internet connection since the 24th of September. I have made almost 40 to 45 calls to your helpline, to help me with my internet connection. I Spoke to numerous agents and Supervisors to have my issue resolved, but all in vain. All I have received are false assurances each day from both agents and Supervisors as to “someone will get back to you in the next 24 hours” and “the issue will be resolved in the next 24 hours/ASAP/at the earliest”. I have spent over Rs800 just calling up and talking to RELIANCE customer support last month as I call up from my Airtel Mobile. Now, on the 30th of September after about 10 false assurances and promises and being told that my case is being escalated once again and it would be resolved in the next 24 hours, I told one of the agent that if this is the type of services you provide I want you to disconnect my connection. And, this happened out of utter frustration. To this I suppose the agent took it as a cancellation request and updated the same on his records, which i realised after a month. On the problem not being resolved in the next 72 hours instead of 24 as promised, I called up Reliance Customer Care again on the 4th of October and enquired about the issue. I was told that they are still working on the issue it would be resolved ASAP/at the earliest, and I would get a call back from a technician. As usual it never happened. Again, I called up Reliance Customer Care on the 9th to know the status. Once again I was told that it was almost resolved and it would be up in the next 24 to 48 hours. But nothing changed. I called in again on 11th Oct, this time to get to know there was some problem in the Central Server Office which has recently happened and that all the reliance connection the area was down. I had nothing much to do but wait to be connected like everyone else. FINALLY on 15th or 16th of October at 10:30pm my Internet was up by itself. It started working for the first time in 24 days the way it is suppose to be. I felt relieved. It actually behaved normal for about a week. Again on the 22nd of November, it went back to the same situation. I was not connecting. On calling up customer care my complaint was taken and I was told that someone would be getting in touch with me within 24 hours. I was in soup once again. But to my utter disbelief I did get a call on the 23rd morning and was promised that my connection would be up in the next 1 hour. That was pretty relieving. However, 3 hours went past and my Modem lights were still OFF. I called Customer Care, and got the SHOCK OF MY LIFE. I was told that my connection was Permanently Discontinued on my Request and i will have to apply for a new connection once again to get connected. (Complete new joining formalities all over). I was told that I put across a request to discontinue my services on the 30th of September, something which I never did (I just said out of frustration that if it is not resolved you can disconnect my connection). And, moreover am I Stupid to call up Customer Care with the problem of not connecting to the internet (4th, 9th, 11th Oct) if I have myself put across a request to disconnect me on the 30th Sep. This is the most horrendous situation which I have ever faced in my life. (Courtesy: RELIANCE INFOCOMM). Why, was I not informed about my Cancellation Request when I Called up Customer Care on the 4th, 9th, 11th October? Instead was only given complaint numbers or promises that my issue is being escalated or a reminder is being sent to the concerned dept. You can UNDOUBTEDLY CONCLUDE .. RELIANCE INFOCOMM ID THE WORST ISP in INDIA. Do not think twice ... think 20 times before you Choose RELIANCE as your ISP. Regds, Phoenix |

Rep Power: 0 | Hey Phoenix123, As per my personal experience, RELIANCE is the best ISP amongst the all others ISPs in India. No ISP is India is perfect. Rather India is not perfect. When we want to get better out of something, we must first provide our full support to it so as to make it perfect. Here is clarification your problem : 1. You spent over Rs.800. Now that's not Reliance's fault. They have their own free service to call up Customer care. You need to call up through Reliance connect and if you don't have one then don't blame Reliance for that. 2. You told one of the agent that "if this is the type of services you provide I want you to disconnect my connection." Now this is ridiculous. Read the quoted sentence again, you have directly mentioned that you want to discconect your connection. I agree that your behaviour was sheer out of frustration. So why didn't you call up the CC to let them know that it was just by mistake. Anyone from other ISPs India would have cancelled your connection against the 'quoted sentence'. 3. Reliance did solve your problem on 15th or 16th October, though very late, but just because of your foolish statment they cancelled you account. 4. Don't say that Reliance is worst ISP just because they failed to solve your problem in time. One failure doesn't make Reliance worst. Go out & experience other ISPs, I am 100% sure that you would realize that Reliance is best ISP indeed. There is old saying "Don't count your chickens before they are hatched". You made a fist mistake out of utter frustration and now claiming Reliance as worst, again out of utter frustration. |

Rep Power: 0 | Hi, Please read Mr Ambani.....This is the message I am sharing with all who come on this forum. BEWARE GUYS......DONT EVEN THINK OF GOING FOR RELIANCE WIMAX BROADBAND. Its been a month since I took the connection & it goes down all the time. Customer service is absolutely worst.....they tell u they will transfer the call to their technical staff & put it on hold....and it rarely gets transferred. The guys keep telling that the connection will be established at a certain time....but it never does. Couple of weeks back it was down for 4 whole days.....They r shameless to charge the same.....Not bothering to at least give an discount for lapse in service. I have BSNL at home since 2 years....& its never given me any problem. So now I am going to terminate with reliance & go for BSNL. I dont think in future I will go for any reliance service. Take care guys. regards, sachin. |

Rep Power: 0 | Well u've no IDEA what i have been through the last 1 month simply because of RELIANCE. And let me tell you i am not the only one in the country who is unhappy with RELIANCE. IF you look at the Ratio of Satisfied and Dissatisfied RELIANCE CUSTOMERS, it would be 1:9. Ok, now let me answer each of your questions at a time ... i) First, the Telephone Bill of Rs800. Yes i make calls through my Cell Phone, WHY ??? When i opted for RELIANCE BROADBAND i was Promised a RELAINCE TELEPHONE, actually it was included in the PACKAGE. I had called them for 2 months and reminded them about the free telephone which i was suppose to be getting. And guess what .. its been 8 months over and now am done with reliance forever, i have still not received that phone. IF I HAD RECEIVED THAT PHONESET FROM RELIANCE, I WOULD NOT HAVE SPENT Rs 800 of mine, all calls to Cust care would be toll free. ii)You have not read my entire mail properly. If you read the Question i put across at the end of my post you would not have asked me this question. Let me quote it for your reference once again, "Why, was I not informed about my Cancellation Request when I Called up Customer Care on the 4th, 9th, 11th October? Instead was only given complaint numbers or promises that my issue is being escalated or a reminder is being sent to the concerned dept." When i make repeated request and plead to the supervisors to please help me get connected (As if they are doing CHARITY) they all fall in their deaf ears. But, when it comes to a CANCELLATION REQUEST ... even if its out of frustration it is taken up with UTMOST IMPORTANCE. If i had the slightest idea, that my statement (out of frustration) was actually taken, i would have stopped it right away. Will i have a DREAM that my account is awating cancellation ??? RELIANCE CUSTOMER CARE IS A HEAP OF HORSE **** iii) "My foolish statement". Dont force me to get rude with you DUDE. Pay 1200 bucks for 30 days and stay 25 days without service. This statement will sound super intelligent to your BRAINS. iv) YESSSSS RELIANCE IS THE WORST ISP IN THE COUNTRY. Its just not one failure. And you think this is the first time i have been through this ??? 3 months back i was in the same situation. I was without internet about 16 days then. Even though i paid for 300kbps//(30 - 32)kbps download. I connected and downloaded at speeds much lower than promised. Since it was an unlimited connection i really did not bother much (i do not have much time also to bother for such little things). I WAS NEVER GIVEN THE RELIANCE TELEPHONE SET WHICH WAS A PART OF MY INTERNET PACKAGE. U Still Need more ... The local INTERNET GUY, never put up a proper casing to the wireline outside my flat. On requesting him his only response was,i will talk to my BOSS about it/ It will be done soon. It has not been done till date. Wish you could just come down once to my place and see the condition of the exposed (CAT5) wires lying on the terrace of my Apartment. Its bloody worse than the Local Cable Wires. Anyone would think its a pile of waste colorful wires kept at one corner, and i actually connected to the internet through that. Finally, i was asked to mark a mail to "broadband@relianceada.com" by another STUPID Supervisor, and was assured of a reply with the procedure of reactivating my connection in few hours. After 5 days i get a reply which goes below, Dear Customer, Greetings of the day! With reference to your mail regarding re-activation of services, this is to inform you that as per your request made in Customer Care services has been terminated. Further if you required new connection then kindly revert back for the same. We regret the delay in reply and inconvenience caused to you. For additional product and service related information you may contact us through any of the following means: Phone: *377 from any Reliance fixed phone 1800 22 7773 from any MTNL / BSNL phone 022-3033 7777 from any phone Email: broadband@relianceada.com (Working hours between 9 am to 9 pm) Fax: 022-30337878. Website: Reliance Communications. Yours sincerely, Broadband Customer Care Reliance Communications .......................................... I Understand No ISP in INDIA is perfect. But do u think the kind of Services which RELIANCE INFOCOMM is providing to its customers is taking the the ISP or the country anywhere close to perfection ???? And offcourse a claim or conclusion is made either out of FRUSTRATION or SATISFACTION of the product or Service. It is not made out of the BLUE. ........................................... From your reply its evident that you are either a very satisfied user of Reliance Services OR you are an employee of the FCUKED UP .. Reliance INFOCOMM. IF you are a satisfied Cust ... you are one of the very few lucky ones on this Planet. Keep Praying to the Almighty to Keep you away from RELIANCE CUSTOMER CARE. And if its the later ... Your evident aim to take Anil Ambani and his Business down the DRAIN is not very far from Materialising. KUDOS to you and your team. ... |

Rep Power: 2 | The decision I took to check my friend's reliance data card connection a couple of times, saved me a lot of trouble, I believe. After checking twice and getting really disappointing results,I dropped the idea to take connection from reliance. |

Rep Power: 1 | Samthakur, I have been struggling with my Reliance Connection for the past 2 months. Their free 1-800 number does not work always. Most of the time I end up educating reliance tech folks on IP networks, how to debug etc. They can't even interpret the ethreal data I send them - I could identify the problem with my own debugging but they don't have a clue on how to setup my QoS on their boxes. Their base stations are taken off for maintenance and the customer is not informed. Now compare this with Airtel.. I used it for 3 years and every time they take off network for maintenance it is during midnight and they inform in advance. In the past 3 years I called Airtel only once - that too to upgrade my package. If they do not fix an issue within 24 hrs. they pay back.. That is called SLA - which Reliance banias will never understand.. Unfortunately, in my new location Airtel doesn't have network and hence I couldn't get my connection transfered.. My wife is almost on the verge of losing her job because of the lousy service from Reliance - or our reliance on Reliance.. samthakur, you must be a Reliance stooge to support them.. May be your expectations are too low (you must have used Sify or Indicom earlier). My rankings are 1) Airtel 2) BSNL ... others are just junk..!! Shares are the only Reliance stuff I will ever buy... |
