    Default Reliamce speed

    Hi ,

I am using the Reliance broad band connection (plan:500kbps). and i am using the NetGear wifi Router: . The speed is really good(Download : 530kbps Upload : 500kbps) when i connect through the modem which is provided from the reliance . If i connected through the Netgear router(Both wifi and LAN) the connection is very slow(Download : 530kbps Upload : 20kbps) and some time there is no Internet connection also. I have attached the screen sorts of configuration of my WIFI router.

Could any one guide me to solve issue.

You know how to save a screen shot

If already posted an attachment here earlier ( specially jpg or bmp)
can be inserted here. or link given. ( facility to be restored soon )

    Example:

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/attach...a-small-fw.jpg
    http://i51.tinypic.com/2z3t73c.jpg NETGEAR WGR614 status.
or uploaded in file loading web site:
    http://i28.tinypic.com/mwr695.png

File://c://.............................../*.bmp cannot be accessed from your hard disk. You have to upload this in file loading websites. and then give the link/s.
Use readable jpg/png pictures ( size not too big )
    Para two;
Check speed here: Click Share copy/paste Forum link.

Try not to use the Netgear for connecting to Reliance. Use the modem provided by Reliance and use the Netgear modem as a simple switch to share the connection. The problem lies with the MAC Encapsulated Routing technology (MER) used by Reliance. And not every modem / router out there supports MER. This is why you face slow speeds and disconnections when you use Netgear modem.

    Hi ,

Now i have configured my Netgear router as switch by disable the DHCP server in the NETGEAR router
and connecting the RJ45 cable from the reliance modem to one of the port in NETGEAR ROUTER . and phone line to reliance modem.

The problem i face here is i can access only one system at a time as the reliance uses log in and password for internet access.

Can any one guide me on this.
