Crazy,..
hows ur connectivity now with reliance...
BTW, are you still with reliance.?
Reliance is the worst ISP (of course next to sify)
Never works
I am wondering
If it does not works do you guys still pay the complete bill or you all ask for a waver
it sucks...and it sucks big tym....
me changed my bsnl broadband to reliance only to find that they are pathetically slower....
i took a 75 kbps unlimited scheme and the promises are given that the speed is good...
the connectivity speed is 100 mbs....so the transfer rate should be somewhere near 70 to-75 kbps...my download speed does not even cross 10 kbps....it takes 15 to 20 min to download a 5mb file....
on the other hand you cant surf the net properly if you are downloading some thing...cause both...the loading of webpage and of the download as well is very slow when done together....
other the connection resets every 6 hours....moreover no dedicated ip...
my verdict...bsnl is much much much better
Pandya. Let me bring some things to light for you. the 100 Mbps that you see when the network gets connected is just the Max bandwidth that your network card can offer you on the CAT5 cable that's connected to your network card. It has nothing to do with the ISP.
Secondly you said that you had signed up for a 75Kbps connection. Note that its the small letter "b" mentioned in the plan. That's Kilo bits Per second (all ISPs measure speed this way) however when windows shows your download speed it will actually be in KBps (Notice the capital "B") which means its Kilo Bytes Per Second (8 Bits=1Byte) so if you divide 75Kbps by 8 you will get 9.37 KBps. Now you mentioned that you are getting 10 so I believe that's fair. You are getting what you paid for and have no reason to complain.
My Reliance connection performs well... speeds are excellent and login/llogout is one in 24 hrs.
I hate the customer support, absolutely dumb bunch of idiots sitting there.
Ph support and follow up is quite good. But trying to get a technician to ur house is a chore that makes u suffer more than a busy work day.
I booked a complain 3 days back for some to come and relace the rj45 plug , 3 times they've called back, no one has come yet!!
This is the way reliance works
They promise you some thing and give you nothing
I am just hoping one day their would be some other ISP in my area like BSNL or airtel and i would move to them so that i can do my office work from home, as of now i have to finish the work in office and then leave as i am not sure if the connection will be working or not
I always thought that Ambanis are dishonest and the lack the direct to customer attitude. After passing through the nightmarish experience of reliance broadband I m convince that we are being cheated day in and day out by this fraud named ANIL DHIRUBHAI AMBANI GROUP
am using 300 kbps flat daily 40rs..dl speed is 30 tp 37kBps nd in torrent i get 30 to 33Kbps ....now planing to change post paid 1mpbs per month 2999 unlimit download...reliance is not tat bad i can give 8 mark
but the worst customer care award goes to reliance
I think we all users shud form a union or something and make these isps pay for their nightmarish customer care!! I am absolutely shocked to see so many people complaining regardin customer care of almost all the isps!! even i am one of u guys...and so r my building frds.....we r absolutely fed up of the customer service provided by our local servce provider with a backend of exattnet!! its hopeless to say the least!! the service is still being used becoz of lack of choice!!
we had reliance BB fellows giving info abt their service today in our area so thot of chkin out their reviews online....and this is what i hv found...good speeds if u r lucky but absolutely pathetic customer service to all wd problems!! thks all u guys for ur feedbk which made my decision simpler!!!
Its quite "pathetic" how you can still use Reliance (after reading all the above posts!)
I am using Airtel, and let me tell you, it Rocks!
1) 384kbps unlimited @ 999 only (check other plans at Airtel.in they are damn good)
2) Good customer care (The local reseller I am saying, forget helpline in Mumbai its response is ****)
3) Excellent dl speed (I actually get near max speeds ALL the time)
The comparable Airtel pack is 1Mbps @ 2222/month
4) So its actually cheaper too!![]()
yea thr is no other broadband service in my area..only bsnl nd reliance avialble rt now..bsnl i gave them application b4 3 mts still waiitng ...once if i get other service ..i will sure quit from this reliance
I have been using the reliance broadnet connection for the pas 6 mnths and honestly have had no major issues with it...except for a few rare disconnections
Using Reliance is like toss of coin. It is satisfactory for some and unreliable for others.
If consistent connection with reliable customer support is desired then Reliance is not for you.
But if good broadband alternatives like Airtel (have used earlier for a year) is not available in the area then one can try Reliance connection.
I stay in Lake Homes (Powai-Mumbai), the society has allowed only MTNL Triband & Cablewalla (Hathway) as internet options, inspite of next door Hiranandani gardens having numerous alternatives.
MTNL Triband has 1+ yrs waiting (Saki-Vihar exchange) & Cablewalla is very unreliable.I have finally made up my mind to put some money to experiment with Reliance Wimax (Thanks to this forum for much needed info).
Hi There,
Let me tell you some stuff about this reliance.
I have seen many people against than for to reliance.
I've been using this ISP for a while. When it runs properly no body can beat it, Incase if you are in trouble for a day or two you ll be like alone in desert.
I used to have somewhere like 4-5 months of uninterrupted service but suddenly when there would be no internet for 1 day I used to hate this ISP a lot. This is what happens with most of them. Their cal centre and billing system sucks. But their equipment rocks!!!
I have a good example of this. The ordinary ISP's give many connections from a hub. When i was trying to get a reliance connection for my neighbour they told that they can give him because the slots for out locality were over. I felt very convinced with their answer.
They have a state-of-the-art technology.
I would rate 10/10 on connectivity -10/10 for call centre.
When it works its great the speeds are very fast and yes I have used Airtel, BSNL and other cable internet private providers, the reliance ping is the lowest in terms of comparison and great for online gaming (Xbox360 and PS3) but if they have a problem the customer support is clueless and the problem goes on for weeks until it gets resolved.
I am facing intermediate websites timing out from the last week it was okay 2 days ealier but again today I am getting timeouts for most of the site, and I know it would be a time waste to call the customer support!
Customer service is very bad....The most common used words by them are "sorry", "raised a complaint", "I'm helpless, prob with technical dept"....barring the connection without any prior info. billing extra amount and takes long time to resolve any complaint. I've experience of getting 10+ complaint ids for the same issue.:taz: and you have no option for a higher level of escalation... wen it works it works gud, n if it goes down you are totally screwed up... I've used airtel n reliance, airtel is far better.. I suggest not to go for reliance at any cost...
Luckiest guy ever.... awaiting to c u edit this post with title "Reliance sucks!!! :taz::taz:"![]()

I am using Reliance broadband for the past 2 months. My experience is pathetic. Previously I was having Airtel and never faced a problem. But, Reliance connection failed miserably within 2 days and they took more than 18 days to fix the problem. Everyday I had to call from my mobile (as my land line also failed) and track with those guys. I even sent an email to their nodal officer...no responses. They fixed it only after I refused to pay my bill. The service depends on the city also...I guess in metros they offer better service...In small towns, analyze, ask people who are already using it and decide...don't rush and get yourself hurt...
I dont knw about other Reliance user.
Now it's more than one year I am using reliance Broadnet.
n experience with Reliance is good except I had some problem in first 1-2 months but after that everything is fine with my connection.
n also I dont remember that I waited for more than Max: 4min. for customer care.
I lived in Pune (East Area). I dont think user from this area have/had bad experiences.
but Everyone has right to give their opinion about the service.
I think the service may differ from city to city. :001_tt2:
