Thread: How good is reliance broadband in your opinion?

read my posts on reliance CC ! It is by far the worst CC that I have experienced amongst all. It seems like they have CC only because it is *mandatory* as specified b TRAI.

The connection though us very good. Speeds are always very good. I have been using it for 2 years now.

How much speed they r giving, and how much they r charging, what equipment is needed how much it costs?
is there any plan like BSNL's Plan 500C (Night Free)?

You dont need any equipment. They will provide the modem and do the cabling & installation. Obviously you will need a device to access the net :-)

I get very good speeds. Nowadays I am getting > 3Mbps even though my connection is upto 2 Mbps. But its a limited plan.

For lack of anythign else in my area (due to geographic problems)

I can only use MTNL triband and Reliance Wimax. MTNL doesnt have an unlimited scheme, so reliance it is.

On the whole, I get very little downtime. Infact, it's rare for the connection to now work. The customer service is a bit slow, but the people working on it are dedicated enough. With a bit of patience, I've been able to get everything resolved properly. Major problems I've had are with the rain shorting my reception antenna (that took about a month of persistent calling) and getting an adjustment for my bill for the month during which the internet was inaccessible (this took abotu 3 months to sort out with the billing department, but the service was unaffected due to my non payment of that month's amount. )

The things I DONT like about it are
1) login hassles
2) difficulty in setting up a wifi router attached to this connection

Bear in mind, I am the only one I know personally who uses this, and I get good service at my home.

Well, I really hope they would provide hello tunes to lure my caller.

guys the service is getting worser day by day....on the 15thsept i made a complain tht connection is not working...the cc guy gave the complaint no n till now my complaint is open frm their side......the cc guy said tht a tech person will contact u in 6 hrs but till today 6 hrs not completet yet........
secondly the connections goes dumb on saturdays n sundays(tht bb also needs some rest so it takes of sats n sundays...)the local rel head said some fault in hubli server,,,another time he says fibre optic cut n endless reasons...i dont know wht the hell i shud do with rel.....
it just saddens tht whtever repp mukesh ambani got for rel communication has been forgone by his brother n he is just playing with customers time n money......anil ambani dosent hv any sense for buisness......

used to use hathway - had a pathetic experience - used to be down most of the time and very unprofessional

with reliance for a few months now - so far so good - some downtime but tolerable - download speeds are ok, plan change was done in a matter of hours

the biggest problem - after every bill - 20 reminders to pay - extremely irritating

I was having worst experience with reliance.
I am having Vista on my laptop. and reliance connection is not working with Vista. When I followed up with technitian, after 2 months , the guy told me that laptop is having problems and you have to change your operating system. But when i checked with other reliance connection, it is working fine on my laptop. I shown him the same but he was not having answer to him. SO finally i applied for terminating the connection. But since last 15 days no reply form relinace. I am still following up for terminarion
