Well i am sure in next 2 - 3 years we would see a lot of cheap broadband services in India as still our great india is developing and you know in developing countries there are these kind of pricinf problems.
hmm i dont think we will se in other 2-3 yrs....i have had broadband since 1998 and thers been a very small decrease in the price over the yrs..so 2-3 yrs i dnt think will change anything...
In UK a 2mbps unlimited connection would cost less then Rs700 with most of the isps and even a 24mbps unlimited connection doesn't cost more then Rs2000
The prices in India will come well below what people pay in the west in a few years but this process will only get initiated if there is some good fierce competition amongst the Indian isps.
ya now thats what called broadband...high speed with no such download caps on it......In UK a 2mbps unlimited connection would cost less then Rs700 with most of the isps and even a 24mbps unlimited connection doesn't cost more then Rs2000
yup thats true but dunno who will make the first move....sify wont thats for sure...The prices in India will come well below what people pay in the west in a few years but this process will only get initiated if there is some good fierce competition amongst the Indian isps.![]()
I dont think that we would see prices comming down as sooner as of right now all the companies are busy and expanding there network and are not worried about price cut. May be when all the major brands are set in all major cities and other important cities then they would think of cutting prices and i dont see this happening any time soon.
Paying this amount does not makes a point. Like i run a business and i am paying some 5000 to 7000 per moth as broadband connections prices.. but 25 k is some money to spend.
This psot wa started in 2007 saying price will go down in 2-3 year and now its 2009 and the prices are down for broadband but not for leased line a 2mbps leased line cost Rs.900000 (Internet access + 8 fixed LAN IP + 4 fixed WAN IP) when this will go down i will surely have leased circuit and will run my own site from my home...unk:
We brought 8 mbps internet leased and E1 pri from Reliance Hyderabad thru their Channel Partner Inmantech. They helped us to get it very fast given it required to be given in fibre underground.
