Well i am sure in next 2 - 3 years we would see a lot of cheap broadband services in India as still our great india is developing and you know in developing countries there are these kind of pricinf problems.

In UK a 2mbps unlimited connection would cost less then Rs700 with most of the isps and even a 24mbps unlimited connection doesn't cost more then Rs2000
The prices in India will come well below what people pay in the west in a few years but this process will only get initiated if there is some good fierce competition amongst the Indian isps.

Right now you would have to pay this much for high speed connection but i am sure that in next 2-3 years we would get this kind of speed for 3000-4000 per month.

I dont think that we would see prices comming down as sooner as of right now all the companies are busy and expanding there network and are not worried about price cut. May be when all the major brands are set in all major cities and other important cities then they would think of cutting prices and i dont see this happening any time soon.

I am sure that he must have purchased this connection for some business thing or he has some real good money cause spending this amount does not makes sense for home use.

People who have money dont mind spending it and they dont look for the price they just look for what they want and as of this 25K connection for home i think it can make sense.

Paying this amount does not makes a point. Like i run a business and i am paying some 5000 to 7000 per moth as broadband connections prices.. but 25 k is some money to spend.
