Unhappy Unable to connect to Twitter.com with Reliance Broadband.

    Hey all,

I have been using Reliance Broadband for a long time now but for the last 5 months or so I am unable to connect to Twitter. It only connects to Twitter early in the morning before 6 or 7 AM, that too not everyday. I had called the Reliance Customer Care but they gave me some lame excuse about the possibility of the server being congested and being unable to connect. But when I asked them how is it possible for a server to be busy every time for months they simply told me that they don't look into individual website problems :/

I can connect to Twitter with my mobile internet but not with Reliance Broadband. And when I don't have mobile internet connection I'm left with no twitter access for days. I'm so disappointed with Reliance, I don't know what to do about this problem or if there is any solution for this.

So, if any one has any idea about how to deal with this situation then please let me know.

    Thanks.

Hi Ramitaz, I did as you asked and this is the result:

    C:\Users\Kimberly>ping twitter
Pinging twitter [199.59.150.39] with 32 bytes of data:
    Reply from 199.59.150.39: bytes=32 time=469ms TTL=242
    Reply from 199.59.150.39: bytes=32 time=456ms TTL=242
    Reply from 199.59.150.39: bytes=32 time=464ms TTL=242
    Reply from 199.59.150.39: bytes=32 time=470ms TTL=242

    Ping statistics for 199.59.150.39:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 456ms, Maximum = 470ms, Average = 464ms

And also sometimes it shows request timed out. I don't know what to make of that so could you help me out.

I can verify that it's true. Twitter does not open using Reliance Broadband. I don't use twitter so it never really bothered me but it's interesting to see that twitter is the only website that I've come across which doesn't open up on Reliance.

If, once in a blue moon, I need to use twitter, I access it using a proxy server. I use the addon Anonymox on firefox for this purpose as it automatically finds and connects you through a working proxy without you having to manually pick one. Through the proxy, twitter opens just fine. Wonder if Twitter and Reliance have some war going on

Yeah seriously and thanks to you I now know that I'm not the only one facing this problem. It's only Reliance Broadband which has a problem connecting to Twitter. I wonder if all Reliance Broadband users are facing the same problem. Anyway, I've sent them an email threatening to cancel the connection and they sent me a reply saying that they are having some problems in my area regarding connectivity and that it will be solved as soon as possible. I highly doubt anything's gonna change anytime soon though 8-

Does www(dot)psychologytoday(dot)com open for you? It doesn't for me, just like Twitter. But I don't really have a problem because I access it using proxy server just fine and the addon I mentioned before automatically opens that particular site through a proxy server whenever it is accessed.

We can add it to the list if it doesn't open for you as well. Please verify.
