Rep Power: 0 | Hi, i also had taken Reliance Broadnet Wi-Max connection some 3 months ago. i didnt know that the connection is a dynamic IP based connection at the time of applying. Once the system boots up it take a minimum of 10mins to max to acquire an IP address. cant say abt the maximum time...once it dint get connected for a week. I was really pissed off with this kind of pesky routine(disabling and enabling the network) and waiting till some IP is acquired even for a small-time browsing. It was all uncertain how immediately it will acquire an IP address. Making this more worse are the customer care and the technical dept. They immediately used to attend my call only to log the complaint but after that they never turned up. They didnt infact maintain the little courtesy to call back and follow up on the issue. Recently some 15 days ago, all of a sudden the network has gone completely off and we logged a complaint. Later we realized that it was just a waste of our time calling the customer care and shunting them to send a person over to our place who infact came only after 15 days. We were taken aback when he suggested us that better terminate the connection and look for some other provider which we did and now hunting for another broadband connection. So i advise the folks to stay away from the Wi-max "dynamic" IP stuff. Kindly share if you know about the Wi-max "static" IP connections being provided by Tata indicom.. Thanks. |
