Default Reg antivirus in reliance broadband connection

I have reliance wimax 300 kbps unlimited plan.I have mcafee antivirus previously installed in my system. When i try to update my antivirus after getting this connection, i got limited or no connectivity.Later i solved this problem by seeing one of the thread in this forum.
Now i am getting error saying that to reinstall the mcafee installation or software.I tried even the other version of mcafee.Even i have formatted my system and reinstalled my xp.I think there is a problem with reliance broadband connection....Tell me how to update my antivirus or tell tell me the other good antivirus softwares where i can frequently update it??

McAfee is a good antivirus software and if you cant update it then i think you should get update file from somewhere and then update your antivirus and as of other good antivirus i would suggest you to go with Norton Antivirus, Kaspersky. Both of these are very good antivirus.

I think it would be nice if you try to change your antivirus software as there can be some problem with the compatibility with your antivirus and your internet connection setting. I would suggest you to go with kaspersky.

as you are getting this problem after your reliance connection installation so i would suggest you to ask your local reliance dealer from where you have purchased the modem and registered with the connection as this can not be due to some file error..alternatively try deleting the mcafee updater from your local disk..there would be no harm in that as you already have the software..sometimes it gets auto-configured according to the connection and when you change that it detects it as expired software..if that doesn't solve your problem try contacting McAfee via email..they are a very supportive company..am also their customer..if you don't want that hectic work..just switch on to some other antivirus..like avast which you can get free of cost..
