i am planning to change my connection from BSNL to some other connection providing good speed..cost is no problem for me and i can pay for any good connection..but the only thing i seek is a good and stable connection speed!!i have made my mind for airtel..but then i read in some reliance threads about their services..so feel confused now that whether i should go for airtel or reliance??please help..which one would be a better option??

I dont know about Airtel Broadband. But am using Reliance broadnet connection also. The adsl link hardly lights up. And guess what, the dslam is in the neighboring building. BSNL rocks anyday.

Reliance does not have a good customer care service. You can see this in this section and also fi you search google you would get to know about this thing. So Airtel is the best choice.

BSNL is good and have reliable connections but when it comes to customer support you are just stuck with your problem for a long time until you dont know some one in their support department.

Instead of contacting the local exchange, i have found it easier to talk and set things right, if u contact the nearest NIB. Try to get more info about your NIB and talk with them. They maintain the network, they know how things are being done.

Me and many other ppl. are facing a lot of problems with Reliance WiMax connections. The only reason its fast right now is because i think its still not yet fully loaded. Even with this underloading, the connection is very unstable, BSNL is the best and most reliable.

I would suggest you to go for Airtel as it is the best one in terms of service and also if you have any problem there technical department is very quick unlike reliance which respond in 24 hours time.

Default airtel has good customer service

i have airtel and they offer good technical service if you call during the business hours. they also schedule a visit by a technician the same day.

besides, their servers are rarely down (once in a few months and that too for a couple of minutes).

the only problem i have is speed. i get about 140-200 kbps on a 256kbps line. whereas reliance claims 300 kbps for the same price and BSNL is cheaper( the grass is always greener on the other side...isnt it?)

I would not advise moving away from BSNL. Reasons:

    a) They provide the cheapest service around
    b) Usually "cheapest" means "crap" - but not so with BSNL. They are right up there.
    c) People complain about their support - and to a large extent they are right; but I have been able to get to their helpdesk quite OK (I never stayed on 'music' for more than 3 minutes in my last four calls). Their technicians were quite OK much to my surprise.
    d) If you want high speed plans and money is not an object then BSNL offers speeds that are at par with everyone else.
    e) In fact BSNL is leading the speed/price war (speed going up, rates going down). They were the first to introduce the Rs. 250 plan and also the first to offer speed of upto 2 mbps on Home 250 plan.

The others such as Reliance, Airtel, etc. are concentrating on corporates and giving them best deals. BSNL is for the common man. This is not saying that Reliance or Airtel are not good in the home segment but BSNL is probably the best.

This is just my opinion and other can beg to differ.
