Rep Power: 0 | I am a new reliance customer from overseas, planning to stay in India, Gujarat for 6 months. I recently purchased a HP laptop which included a promotional offer for a free reliance data card. I figured I would be needing internet anyways and have heard from my relatives here that "Reliance" is a very big corporation in India and their service must be good. So I made my way to a reliance center, where they would provide me with the data card and set up my account information, etc. Before signing any papers I had to make sure that I would be getting a very good connection. Let me remind you that I am from overseas so having a 3mb/s connection is was I've grown very accustomed. The lady at the desk assured me I would get CONSTANT 200kb/s ANYWHERE, with NO DOWNTIMES. I asked her to confirm this several times where she repeatedly said yes this would be the case. even though i was used to a minimum 500kb/s download speeds I was satisfied with this and had my cousin continue to fill out the forms. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. It's been a week now with this horrible connection. I'm getting less then an average of 2kb/s TOPS. I've called "Reliance" and they told me to change a bunch of settings that I knew would not work, and then suggested that something was wrong with my usb modem and I should take it to a repair center which is about 2 hours away from me. So here I am searching the internet for reviews from other reliance wireless customers and I am hearing the same story over and over again. WHAT NOW? I know that its not my computer settings, its THEIR horrible service. I know they will not refund my money, I've read of the sob stories over and over again. NOW FOR THE SERIOUS MEASURES ---------------------------------- I have 6 friends who are journalist. 3 in Mumbai, 2 in the USA (1 who works for the New York Times), and 1 who is a internet journalist. 4 have already agreed to write a story about "Reliances" awful service and I'm still waiting on replies from the other 2. If all goes according to plan the stories in these major newpapers should do quite some damage to "Reliances" reputation and hopefully they'll lose a lot of potential customers and even lose some current ones. So if you own "Reliance" stocks, SELL THEM SOON. They paddled up shits creek, and got the wrong customer ticked off. If "Reliance" is smart they'll help us out, and more importantly, help themselves. And I put "Reliance" in quotations cause they are not reliable at all. not even 1mbs worth. DOWN WITH RELIANCE! DOWN WITH RELIANCE! DOWN WITH RELIANCE! Spread the news and help take down another blood sucking corporation. |

Rep Power: 2 | Well if you have journalist friend and that also 6 then what are you waiting for. Just tell them to print this thing in the news paper so these big companies would start carrying about their customers a little bit. |

Rep Power: 0 | It's not as easy as it sounds. Any journalist with any integrity has to research the story and investigate before they write anything up. Then they got to pass the story through there superior. Time will. Give it a week or two |

Rep Power: 0 | Hi, I am a customer of Reliance Broadband (according to Reliance I am not). Though they installed a phone and internet connection during last week of October, 07, the internet hardly worked for three weeks. Thereafter, whenever I tried to login it has shown that the 'authentication failed'. I made a complaint to the Customer Care and reminded atleast 10 times every alternative day by spending half an hour every time. I was repeatedly informed that the technical people will rectify the problem and inform me over my mobile. Having waited for about 4 weeks I again called Customer Care and the executive informed me to contact one Ramesh Babu Indla, who never answered his phone. I tried my best to contact the said guy and failed. I again informed the Customer Care about the same and I was given one email Id rameshbabu.indla@relianceinfo.com. I have sent an email on 20th December and a reminder on 24th December giving all my details. As there is no reply, I contacted Customer Care again only to hear that they have not provided connection to me and no such user id is given to any one. I have asked the customer care executive to check my previous bill which contains my user id. Having seen the user id in the bill, the executive said sorry and informed me he is helpless and disconnected the phone. There are several of such instances and faulty billings in our locality in Hyderabad. So Relaince is irreliable. |
