Thread: Problems with Reliance Wireless broadband

Hi,
I have taken Reliance Wireless Broadband. It's the same connection where in you have to enter username and password everytime you start the connection.

It was working fine for one month with satisfactory speed. But suddenly there is no connection. I checked with reliance tech support. They gave me some prompts such as ipconfig/renew. It worked for some days but now there is no connection again.

They sent the technician to my place, who after some inspection came to conclusion (which I dont understand at all) that a new high rise building has come come in front of my apartment due to which signals are weak. This logic looks absurd because there is a distance of atleast 200 to 250 feet from my apartment and the building.

Can somebody please help?

Also, I am looking at another connection however there is a constraint, there are no wired broadband available in my area as of now. Please suggect alternative within Rs. 1500/- a month.

My office had provided me with a Reliance Wireless PCMCIA DataCard. I did face such problems but these were resolved 5/6 days later. Reliance people said that some work is going on in my area - but my connection was a problem at my office also - so that was not really the case.

High rise buildings do interfere with signals especially if they are directly in line of sight from the signal tower to your home.

In the absense of wired broadband, the only other option for you is Tata-Indicom Wireless or Airtel Wireless.
