Rep Power: 0 | Hi! I'm from calcutta and i'm using reliance broadband for almost a year now. Specifically, i'm using the 300 kbps unlimited plan and thus far have been very satisfied by the reliability and speeds. Although few server problems came up before, but they were resolved very quickly. But from last month, November, i'm getting no upload speed. the download speed is fine. Around 35-40 kbps. But i can't upload any file. Not even small e-mail attachments. The speedtest.net upload test fails. The reliance customer service and technical people are useless. The local reliance broadband agent, also doesnt seem to understand the problem. he continues to crib about upload speeds being normally lower than download since it's a adsl broadband. There doesnt seem to be a problem in the pc nor with the connection between adsl modem and pc. There is ZERO upload speed!!! Please Help!!!! |

Rep Power: 2 | Hi, I too am facing the same problems. I am also fighting with them and not the problem is not yet resolved. So far I have logged 6 calls and all have been closed without the problem solved ! My fight with Reliance Customer Care goes on. I suggest you too continue to do that. I have started to keep a record of every complaint that I have made and I will use it at appropriate time. Pl. continue to write here on your progress... cheers. |

Rep Power: 2 | Hi Admin, That is wishful thinking.......Reliance dont care about image etc etc. Mr A. A. has no clue what is happening in his business and he does not care. The problems with Reliance Broadnet are not new and there is no need felt by Reliance to sort out the issues. So though I would like to believe what you have written, I am willing to bet, that nothing will get sorted out !!! cheers. |

Rep Power: 10 | If Reliance doesnt care... Those who will read this post do. I am sure posts like this one can change peoples decision to go with reliance and opt for something else. I normally log on to the internet to read reviews before I buy anything, like I got a reliance data card after reading a lot of reviews and as the reviews mentioned its working very well for the last two months |

Rep Power: 2 | Agreed. But then I had to opt for Reliance Broadnet, because there was no other service available in my area ! And as far as Broadband is considered, I consider all of them to be generally rubbish ! In fact that is true of most services. No service is what I would term "professional" or top notch in *all* aspects. Small doubt - Your profile says your location is "UK". Then how come you use a Reliance card ? or do you shuttle between India & UK ? I hope its not too personal a question. cheers |

Rep Power: 10 | I agree with you and I am kind of in the same boat as well because Ive only got sify available in my area apart from mtnl which is not doing very well in my area for some reason and I still cant help my self bitching about sify It will help when I have another option in the near future and the hard time sify has given me will stay on this forum and a few blogs so those who are looking for a review and have another option will stay away from sify. I live in UK but I have been stuck here in India for some time due to some liscencing and contractual issues for the last few months as I am in the process of launching a wimax service in NCR and these sarkari babus are giving me nightmares.. everyone needs something under the table Its not the ISP's its the sarkari machinery which is preventing people from getting good service. Had this stupid system been a bit better there would be hundreds of isps here to choose from and no isp would be able to get away with lapse in service. |

Rep Power: 1 | Hi Admin, Got some more bad news with Reliance Wimax upload connectivity issues....... The problem is there since 40 days and i am now gathering everyone who is facing this similar problem in Bangalore. My thread in this forum also is available to witness many of the instances. Tried the following options: 1. Changed antenna 2. Changed MAC 3. Changed BS settings 4. Finally migrated to STATIC IP also today. Many people are involved in this at Bangalore. But no one is able to solve this issue. Wondering if RELIANCE TECH TEAM is so incompetent. I throw a challenge to the Network guys with expertise to suggest options on this, which the tech guys have missed. Need ideas from TECH guys. Please vote your thoughts, options on this issue. |

Rep Power: 10 | Could you possibly post a screen shot for the trace route followed to the server you have been trying to upload... Have you tried attaching something to an e-mail using the e-mail account provided to you by reliance? If that works ok then we can zero out on the exact issue fairly easily else we look at a number of other possibilities one by one. |
