Default Browsing problems with Reliance WiMax Broadnet connection

    Hello,

I stay in bangalore. I'm facing this peculiar problem with my WiMax Broadnet connection from past 4-5 days. I'm not able to browse any of my Yahoo, Gmail, Orkut sites properly. When i try to delete mails, reply mails or even send mails, it just doesn't seem to work. The page just goes blank and stops or ends up with a connection timeout error!!

Till date i'm unable to figure out if its the problem with my broadnet connection or my router settings or my computer's security settings (Although i have not changed these settings ever since i got the broadband connection about a month back).

Can anyone pls. help with this issue?

    Regards,
    Omkar

Angry No Gmail access through Reliance Broadnet here either!

I face this bizzare problem too...I took a new Reliance Broadnet 2Mbps connection at Koramangala,Bangalore near Forum. The speed is not at all encouraging. Neither am i able to connect to VPN succesfully. If I connect through Citrix,it just connects and hangs forever.
It just does not log me in to gmail.Yahoo opens though mails do not open,as though in dial up era.Can anyone throw some light on this to get it fixed? Thanks in advance.

    Default Check your upload speed..

Pl. check your upload speed (from Tools menu on the Reliance page displayed after logging in or use some site like speedtest.net)

My connection too has similar symptoms.. and then I checked my speed.

If your upload speed Zero - Then pl. join the other unfortunate souls at

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/relian...ad-issues.html (Wimax - upload issues)

    Some info:

It seems Reliance doesn't really have a 'real' living Nodal officer - Looks like they are continuing with their 'Benami' tactics mastered by their 'Sr.' i.e. Gurubhai :-)

In other words don't waste your time trying to reach the seemingly non-existent Nodal officer.

Also don't waste time calling their customer care too - they just don't solve your problem.. In fact after 10-15 complaints they refuse to take your complaints !!

Best solution - Bribe/Beg/do whatever BSNL or Airtel to get a proper connection..

Airtel understands what is important in services industry and BSNL folks expect bribes!
