You need to log in to reliance once every 24 hours. After that, you're good for the rest of the day.
If you are away from your PC for a long time & don't want to take a chance, you should keep the page open.
You could adjust the refresh rate of the page by editing with notepad, it refreshes too fast.

I use the script in a secondary browser, and keep that browser permanently hidden in the background using this program called Trayit! Here's some steps to help you set it up like I have.

    1) Download Trayit! from here: RapidShare: Easy Filehosting (49kb)

    2) Extract all the contents of the zip archive to any convenient location.

    3) Run trayit.exe

    4) Click on the button "Configure"

    5) Select "Load Trayit! at Startup.

    6) Click on "Okay"

    7) Click on "Start Using Trayit!" or "Continue using Trayit!"

    8) Install a secondary browser. If you use opera, I recommend you install Firefox. If you use Firefox, I recommend you install opera. If you use both, I recommend you install Gogole Chrome.
If you use internet explorer, I recommend you download either Opera or Firefox coz IE is the slowest browser I've ever seen.

Opera: Opera Web Browser | Faster & safer | Download the new Internet browsers free
Firefox: Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable
Google Chrome: Google Chrome - Download a new browser

If you use all three of these browser, use any other html+javascript browser you want.

    9) Once you have a seconday browser installed and set up, set your homepage to point to the html login script you got from this thread.

    10) Once the browser is running, ctrl+click on it to minimize it to the sytem tray.

    11) Right click on the system tray icon and select "Edit Profile"

    12) In there, Put checkmarks on the following options:

    Minimise on startup
Restore window from system tray when application is activated
Show tray icon only in minimized state
Do not create icon in tray area, hide application completely.

    13) Click on "okay".

Now your browser is hidden completely. Next you have to make it startup with your system.

    14) Copy the shortcut to the browser from your desktop or your start menu, and paste it in the "start up" folder you see in the start menu.

That's it. You're done. Let me know if you guys have any trouble setting it up.

And yes, this will consume a bit of ram. Which is why I recommended using opera or firefox or chrome, as they dont have a large memory footprint.

    Try it out. ^_^

    They have!!!!

Sneaky bastards. Hey sanjaydutta can you please update your script for the new homepage?

Any one experienced with curl? I tried modifying the original curl script to the following

    Code:
    curl -d "userId=username&password=password" -# hxxp : // www . reliancebroadband. co . in / reliance / startportal_isg.do
It still doesn't work. Can someone please help?

    The url should be

    hxxp://aaa.reliancebroadband.co.in/reliance/login.do?action=doLoginSubmit
    and not

    hxxp://aaa.reliancebroadband.co.in/reliance/startportal_isg.do
    Replace aaa with www

Also they are now using a cookie based authentication and I haven't been able to figure that out as to how to make curl work with that

Can someone more experienced help ??

u mean keep me logged in?

Have u tested that it works? In the earlier auto-login page, if I was logged out and I refreshed the page, it used to log me in. Thats how it worked. After 24 hours, when reliance automatically logged me out, this page was set to auto reload evey 30 mins or so, and it used to auto-login for me.
