Thumbs down Wimax - upload issues

Hi

I am a reliance wimax user in bangalore since dec. i am facing a strange prblm of upload. browsing speed is always very good. But i am unable to upload anything nor send mails. The speed tool which broadnet provided also gets stuck while upload and throws an error "unable to connect to server".

Customer care is lousy as usual. Since Jan 15th, i have been calling them every day spending about 5 min avg on a call. till date it has not got resolved. Wondering if Reliance has technical expertice ppl to get this sorted out.

Can anyone help in this regard. or is any one else in my boat. if so, please suggest escalation procedure other than customer care.

Unhappy Same issue faced by me

Hi ganesh,

I am facing the same issue.the helpdesk doesnt have a clue about it as usual. But it looks like it might be a common issue and might be related to teh issue of under sea cables snapping.

I am using a limited plan with 2MBPS speed.I am getting ard 2000 KBPS download whereas the upload speed shown in speedtest.net is hardly 20KBPS :-(

Same here... I thought that because of the cable damage they had restricted the upload bandwidth on the connections.. Unfortunately it seems that they have increased it back again since yesterday but its still limited quite a bit.
Don’t know if they are going to change it back to the way it was...

Thumbs down Nitin, sandeep

hi Nitin, sandeep,

it has got nothing to do with the under sea cable snapping. please check your friends who uses reliance wimax. dont be surprised to know if they were working with 300-500 Kbps upload speed. My neighbour and my friends who took connections after my suggestions are working wonderfully without any issues. I personally tested my neighbour's speed yesterday and confirmed it for sure that it is nothing to do with any common issue.

this problem is peculiar to the link that you are given through your SS. the MAC address which ur SS bears is not allowing you to connect to the server properly for uplink. check this with customer care and you can refer to my complaints too. I have various complaints (30 tkts) so far on this issue. like 62054071/15.1.2008 and 63780158/13.2.2008

dont leave them until they solve this. this problem is urs and not a common issue.

Were they able to resolve the issue?
Are you able to upload at all or is it just that your upstream bandwidth is extremely limited?

Thumbs down Sandeep

Sandeep, pls let me know in case of anything getting solved. As far as i know these Tech guys are sitting with half baked expertise. I wonder if they are competent enough to understand the problem and solve it. I have been suggesting them to change the SS antenna so that Mac changes and we can find if it works. But everything into deaf ears. BTW, gimme ur number or do call me when u find time.

Thumbs down Sandeep

Hey Sandeep,

These guys call up promptly on every complaint... but all in vain. no one is able to sort out this issue yet. I have also suggested them to try out changing the SS antenna. By this way, they will give you a new Mac id. I am sure new mac id will have the connectivity properly. I guess there should be something defective with the mac id communicating with the reliance server.

I have been showing them the example of my neighbour working very comfortably with upload speed, but they all in deaf ears.

I have also written to Anshul Rastogi, who is the tech lead for Bangalore, Rcomappellateauthority.Karnataka@relianceada.com, and nothing has happened yet. Not a call from Anshul's office also. Wondering if Bangalore RCOM is only into marketing and not into technical solutions.

Default fucccck reliance

Hi,

I am facing same issue from last 15 days, i called helpdesk several times, they assign a new complaint number everytime, old tickets are closed by them as resolved without any confirmation from user. every day i am calling them, abusing them, told them to bundle their equipments and take this stuff, refund my money if they can't solve issue. I guess everything is going into deaf ears.
I am in Marathalli (ORR) area, looking for other alternatives, i don't think they will be able to solve this issue. I will never suggest reliance to anybody in my life.

Thumbs down Never ending story

These guys came home and tried doing lot of config stuff to my antenna. Nothing happening. One last option: Static IP. DHCP connections proving to be adverse. So lets try that. guys you can ask for static IP. Its normally charged and provided only for commercial users. But, we can state the problem and ask for static IP free of cost. They wont provide so easily. You need to really barge and get it.

This is not an end.... it might help solving the issue.
