Does Reliance really connect you? I had good Airtel connection till one fine day, an agent from Reliance approached me with an offer I could not resist. I was paying Rs. 930 for my broadband and landline, Reliance was offering this service for as low as Rs. 450. I accepted. I applied for the connection, paid a crossed cheque for Rs. 500 to RCIL and gave it to the guy. My cheque got encashed on 23.01.08; I received a confirmation call from Reliance about my connection on 09th Feb. But that was it. Nothing happened after that. This guy used to confirm every time that there will be a connection at my home in a couple of days that never happened. Lately, for a couple of weeks, he blocked my telephone numbers. Even if I call from a friend's number, he disconnects after larning who it is. And Reliance is not any better. I contacted their customer service which took a couple of days to acknowledge me complaint and that was it. I called the number provided, I was given a 'Sales Coordinator' number in Delhi to be in touch with. This lady, Ms. Susmita Chakravarty, never receives any call. The phone rings for ever and then gets cut. Now for the details of the Reliance guy: Mr. Vinay, phone # 09990991853. He roams around in Vikaspuri area of New Delhi (that's where I stay). So, I wanted to warn you all about trying to save some money. There are thugs out there and they care least about customer satisfaction. I will update if there is any thing that happens. Meanwhile, can any body please tell me how to cancel my application and get my money back? I am tired of these people and probably go back to Airtel. |
