Post How to drag reliance to consumer court?

We have seen lot of issues with reliance broadband connection or any other issue we face and feel like taking them to the consumer court but we are afraid or ignorant as we are not sure of the process or the legal process to file a case (at least i am)

Has any one file a case ever with consumer court?
    How easy is it?
    How much will it cost?
Do we need a lawyer to fight the case? in TV consumer court has advertised that it is as easy as filling a form and do not require a lawyer is this true?

I have seen many NGO who assist in filing consumer court cases but they also require some kind of membership which involved money up to Rs 500 (per membership), is it advisable to go through them or should we go directly?

I hope there is some body who has filed a case before in consumer court and have the knowledge on this then it will be very helpful to all the people who wants to take reliance to consumer court

I have had a massive problem with reliance broadband and reliance mobile and I later went to consumer court with the help of this website I have just posted a link to and it all went fine, in the end I got a Rs1500 compensation as well.

All you have to do is go to the Consumer Court Office in your City and fill out the form with any supporting documents. You do not need a lawyer for this.

Its very easy and effective. I also had the same issue and found the same site but the membership charges kind of put me off. I felt that it went against the whole principle of filing the case. Moreover the jurisdiction is for Mumbai, in case a court appearance is required it will be difficult if you are in a different city.

I settled the issue out of court in the end.
