Rep Power: 0 | Hi This is Nitin. I am using Reliance Wimax connection from the past 2 months now so i just thought that i should share my experience with all you people here who are using and who may be looking for Wimax connection in BOMBAY i have tried 300kbps and 2000kbps well let me 1st tell that this is the ultimate solution for anyone who dont have ONE.. The speed is excellent i get 45kbps (average) at 300kbps and this speed can go as high as 400+kbps hehe with 2000Kbps plan *)but the biggest problem i am facing is that I NEVER HAD CONSTANT CONNECTION its does not get disconnected with in hour or two but it does at regular intervals *)when waking up connection i have to wait for it to get some signal or connectivity what ever it may be, in the past few weeks i did not get any connection for more then 12 hrs and that was not once many days-times *) now when reliance claim that issue has been solved i am happy with the startup but still some times i have to wait for 20 - 30 mins *)the other thing i don't like is its not an always on connections so one has to keep logging in if it gets disconnect or something *) i being a heavy down loader this does not works for me as i mention it gets disconnected whenever and i am not always home to login in... Fir bhi i am happy with this no more wires around and most of all i don't have to slog behind DATA cards ..... or ...most IMPORTANTLY i dont have to F*** around with the cable guy.. if anyone has something new to ask please fell free regards Nitin. |

Rep Power: 2 | To me that sounds a description of a very poor service. It is not upto the mark on any parameter - speed - poor ease of use - poor reliability - non existent service - poor How do you justify that it is a good service ? I agree that for anyone who does not have any service, this is just an option albeit a poor one. Your other problems of having wires/data cards/dependency on cable guy can be solved by other means. cheers |

Rep Power: 0 | Well a person who does not have much options would definitely be happy i don't prefer MTNL it does not have much options for unlimited and negotiating with cable guy is not in my nature ......... and did you mention speed well is 45 kbps at an average is bad ? am asking not telling..... apart from this i dont have any other broadband options too waiting for tata to start their service i would rate the overall reliance as 2 and half out of 5 |

Rep Power: 2 | About the speeds, if you meant 45kBps and 400+kBps, then they are very good speeds. Like I said in my previous posts - if there is no other decent service available, then any service becomes a good service :-) But in absolute terms, apart from the speed (if is KBps), i would not give 2.5 to it. I would rate it at 1 out of 5. cheers. |

Rep Power: 2 | well you did say it is "ultimate", "excellent" etc, without justifying why, apart from it being good, due to not having any other broadband service providers. |
