yes its fine... m currently having it.. if you don't have the upload issue then go for it..
i'm currently having the zero upload bandwidth problem on it and tryin to get it fixed...
but the download speeds are always >150kbps on it... no disconnection so far after 3 days..

torrenting is working flawlessly (as far as downloading goes)... the listening port is open... no issues... and possibly the upload issue will also be fixed soon.

Tho u shud ensure that the signal strength is good enough cinr~24... it will work fine... and u will have to switch on the antenna about 10-15 mins in advance before u use the net, for it to properly sync with the base stn and get an ip.

Every1 is not having the upload issue.. possibly u will not too... But i recommend u check with airtel for irs services first before going in for this.. as reliance corp is pure sh&^ in terms of customer care. I wasn't willing to go in for reliance but i had no choice. Never even had there stupid cdma phones...

Go for reliance wimax if you don't have any other ISP in your area (except sify)

I have reliance wimax and i have lot of issues getting the IP
They are running short of IP most of the time in my area

But as far as speed is concern there is not a problem. The speed is constant to 17 to 18 KBps in the 150 kbp plan and this i get even when i am downloading torrent, no issues with torrent also

Customer care is -10 on a scale of 1 to 10, so don't expect any help there

Though many have complained about the upload issue i have not see it
For the IP issue they do have a solution were they will give u a static IP whick will cost you Rs 2000 /year more.

but this IP issue will come when u would shut down your PC, if you are the 24/7 downloaded type then most probably you will not have this issue as most of the time you net will be connected

    My dear

Right now iam using Reliance wifi broadband (without any phone just one small antenna on the roof and connection to router then computer)

The 150 plan for me is super the download speeds touches the 160kbps(20.1kb/s) some times

but an average it is 18kb/s i.e 124kbps

i think reliance is genuine here

    you can try

Ha Ha Big problems now for me

the connectivity if comes i.e very good but these days since 1 week iam not getting the Connection saying "Limited or No connectivity" unable to acquire the ipaddress :taz:

Even after calling the customercare daily 2 times and complaining about this they are saying only one thing i.e our technical people will call you, but no one has called.

    When i say this,

"Sorry for the inconvinience" every customer care person saying, and they saying we will forward this as most urgent or high priority to technical team , but to my surprise no call receiving since then.

really strange what happend to these people they dont care the customer problems or what.

So, immediately after few days i tasted the problems of Reliance.

So, i have to change my mind and say Reliance Connectivity only good but when you get the problem then no support you will get.

friends now this is upto you

Interestingly i also was facing the same ip issue since last week's sunday morning. It acquired the ip today after a technical dude called me up and asked me to switch on the pc... it acquired the ip in the normal time it always took (about 10 mins)... so i hope and think that the problem will not be there again...

i had never had the problem before that sunday and the pc NEVER acquired the ip, even after leaving it on for 72 hrs, during the last 8 days....

150 kbps plan is OK from standard surfing and e-mails. It is not Broadband. It will help to keep in touch, browse internet, read/reply in forums but do not expect any download speed.

Note that it is not good for Torrents as you will get a max speed of 19 KB/s even with port-forwarding.
