Rep Power: 0 | i have reliance DSL broadband connection with the plan of 75kbps. i have got two of my friends who have reliance DSL broadband connections with the plans of 600kbps and 300kbps. the problem is that i dont get the full speed when i'm using their user ids!! i even tried another user id with 2mbps plan. all i'm getting is the same speed of my 75kbps. is the problem in the modem configuration or not? i tried to log in the router configuration page but the page is not found. could anyone tell me is there any possibility that i can solve this problem and how? i found it such strange that nobody has faced this problem before i'll be so thankfull. |

Rep Power: 3 | may be reliance is using mac address binding for their plan in that case, your router mac address is fixed with 75 kbps this may be the case, i am not very sure, just check with reliance |

Rep Power: 2 | no isp is foolish enough not to know that user id's will be shared. so according to what i know is that ur speed has been assigned like that and cannot change unless u decide to change ur plan. using id's has nothing to do with the capped network bandwidth they provide.
