Default Has anyone faced this problem before? pls have a look

i have reliance DSL broadband connection with the plan of 75kbps. i have got two of my friends who have reliance DSL broadband connections with the plans of 600kbps and 300kbps. the problem is that i dont get the full speed when i'm using their user ids!! i even tried another user id with 2mbps plan. all i'm getting is the same speed of my 75kbps. is the problem in the modem configuration or not? i tried to log in the router configuration page but the page is not found.
could anyone tell me is there any possibility that i can solve this problem and how? i found it such strange that nobody has faced this problem before.
    i'll be so thankfull.

    Thanks for crossing by,
Yes i'm using DSL modem (ZTE-ZXDSL 831 II). Is the problem in the modem? I actualy want to slove this problem and do it myself instead of calling customer care. I realy had enough with their miserable services.

    Awaiting your kind response.
    Thank you.

may be reliance is using mac address binding for their plan
in that case, your router mac address is fixed with 75 kbps

this may be the case, i am not very sure, just check with reliance

no isp is foolish enough not to know that user id's will be shared. so according to what i know is that ur speed has been assigned like that and cannot change unless u decide to change ur plan. using id's has nothing to do with the capped network bandwidth they provide.
