Rep Power: 0 | Dear All, Please stay away from reliance broad band. With my personal experience I should say they are the worst providers, they harrase you and loot your money and not provide proper services to you. See my bitter experience.... I have taken internet connection(which they claim to be broadband) from reliance info comm on 2nd of Jun 2008. Initially the marketing guy gave me plans both on limited and unlimited, but as unlimited plans appered costly I opted for the 2 Mbps limited connection for Rs. 550 Per month. The speed though they claimed 2 Mbps it was not even 1Mbps when comes to the actual measure. Once I called customer care I came to know that download limit they give includes both download and upload speeds taken together. I was shocked. Also they calculate the bill for limited connections as a pro-rata basis, i.e if you have a 2Gb limited connection all you can use per day is 2Gb/30 days that comes nearly to 85Mb, and if you exceed this they bill you an extra of 90Paise per MB. This is also one of the worst marketing strategy. Those reliace marketing people are the real conmen and they do anything to get their sales increased. On the second day I came to know that my download limit does not suffice my requirements and thus called customer care asking them to switch me to the unlimited 150Kbps plan (which they claim to be broadband) which they give for 750/- Per month. (as per TRAI speeds of 256Kbps or more are said to be broadband) The customer care person told me that it takes 5 to 7 working days for change of tariff plan, that was another shock to me. Then finally on 9th of that month after 2 to 3 reminders they finally changed my plan to 150Kbps. Then I checked my speed and found that it was not even reaching 100Kbps. When I called customer care I came to know that they calculate the speed for both upload and download taken together, that was the third shock. After looking at the speed after a few days I decided not to continue and called customer care and asked them to disconnect the same within few days. The customer care person told me that they will take 15 to 24 days for disconnection.... I shocked again. So though the person is not satisfied with the services he/she has to bare the rental for those 15 to 24 days. On 26th of Jun I called the customer care and enquired them about the status of the disconnection request. The person told me that some one from their end called me and I asked them to continue the services and so they closed the request..... that was a thunderstorm shock to me. Then I asked them to raise another complaint for disconnection of the services. Again he told me that it takes 15 to 24 days for the same......... huff,..... One fine day I got a surprise call from them asking for the payment of bill and the bill amount was nearly Rs.3400+ /- I SHOCKED AGAIN. Those people started calling me now and then; asking me to pay bill though they didn't resolve my problems related to billing. One day I received a call from an arrogant person telling me that you have to attend court if you don't make a payment immediately. That was really a mental harrasement to me. Another day I got a call from Reliance person and he finally listened to me but he told me that all that is my usage and I have to pay for it. I was totally disappointed, and finally paid Rs.1951/- after discussing with a person to get rid of this junk. So I sincerely suggest you not to go with Reliance broadband and save your time, money and mental peace. Regards RK Veluvali |

Rep Power: 1 | this is really a bad experience you had i also has similar experience with reliance but i did not pay up they said that i had to go for static IP and i had to pay Rs 2000 per year as i had DHCP issues ,i said i will pay , but after the issue was not resolved even after buying static IP, i said that i will not pay for the static IP not i will pay the bill. if the issue is not resolved. if they say that they will take u to court this all they gimik, if they keep taking ppl to court who don't pay up then they will have a huge number of ppl at the court. i don't mind paying money if i get the service i am promised, but reliance did not give the service which i expect so i will not pay up, no matter what. |
