Question Is there any wireless rounter compatible with Relience wifi broadband

Hi Friends,

I am having Reliance wimax broadband connection. I have two Laptop and I want to connect both to the broadband connection.

Q1. What is the best wireless solution compatible with Reliance?

Q2. Does Reliance allows to connect more then one computer to a broad band connection?

Q3. Can I connect using switch to more then one computers?

Thanks you in advance for your response.

A1. Does your Reliance provided modem have an Ethernet LAN out (RJ45) port? It probably does. Then you can buy a Linksys WRT54G or WRT54GL wireless router. Connect the Reliance modem to Linksys router using a LAn cable. Configure the Linksys router in "Automatic DHCP" mode. I suggest Linksys routers as they are the best but Netgear wireless routers are also equally good.

A2. You can connect multiple machines to the same connection. But your bandwidth will be divided amongst the connected machines.

A3. Yes. See above.

yes you can use any router with reliance wimax as suggested by just4kix.. apart from this there are lot many other routers in market which you can get..
i like netgear router as they are really very user friendly and easy to configure....

if you are using more than one computer on BB line then speed will be divided in same proportion to all computers...

you can use multiple computers for online browsing coz it will not make any big difference as we dont use bandwidth continously during online browsing as we do in downloading....
