    Hi,
I am intending to take reliance broadband connection.I stay near nigdi.I have just shifted and bsnl guys are unable to provide new connection. All my neighbours have reliance and have given very good feedback.
My question was has reliance increased the speed for 999 plan from 300kbps to 400kbps.I had seen it in some foum i dont remember. Is it true? Can anyone clarify?

No. It is not true; but the thread starter is asking.

@sahilshah1987, do not depend upon rumours. The best way is to hear it from the horse's mouth.

I am sure it is not true... I put up in Delhi... I approached the Reliance guys, they simply said a big NO for any changes from Reliance (though they still almost convinced me that it will be happening soon ) but pls dont believe on such rumours.

wimax customers who were on 300 kbps@ Rs. 999 plan upgraded to 400kbps speed. For other broadnet(wireline) customers r still on 300 kbps.

Are u sure it is offering 400 kpbs for 999... otherwise we will wait for evdo to be launched by mtnl or wait for 3G service next year....

EVDO is sort of a Wimax (CDMA-WLL) high speed internet service by BSNL. It is mainly offered in rural and fringe areas.

    Yup this is true.
I dont know exactly when but they have change the bandwidth to 400kbps from 300kbps

n also they have closed their 75kbps unlimited plan

Existing user can shift to this plan by calling customer care (022-3033 7777)
and by telling the name of plan which I have highlighted in my bill
    i.e. : WICF01K

Hey Sahil, How are you ?? :001_tt2:

No this is applicable to both the broadband n broadnet user.

But the name of plan which I have written may be different to broadband plan but the plan is same i.e 400kbps in 999/-

hi frnds at present i have 75kbps broadband plan adsl of reliance wid unlimited usage.i came 2 know dat dey r now providing 300kbps plan at 799rs wid unlimited usage.so i want 2 upgrade 2 it.so what iwant 2 know is dat is 300kbps plan a really a broadband plan or not as i heard frm my frnd 256kbps n their multiples 2 broadband plan.my main concern is dat as i do lot of downloading n thru torrent client so on 75 kbps de download speed same as normal speed i.e. 8or 9 kbps meaning torrent doesn't increases de speed even lil bit as i have heard of it.but when once i used 256 kbps bsnl plan n downloded thru torrent client de speed went upto 150, 170 kbps.so plz. tell me is 300kbps plan a real broadband plan n will it accelerate de speed in torrent or ne other speed increasing software.coz in speed selection options also i have not seen 300kbps speed except lile 256 or 512kbps.plz. do recommed me other plans also i f u know widgud speed n unlimited usage in other co broadband plans which cud fulfil my needs

Yes what you seen is correct recently reliance came with the new plan or you can say upgrading the old plans to new with some minimal amount. But to my great extent i can say the connection will give you full happy where as coming to service part this is the worst service you never see.

I'm in mumbai. I just called up and asked, and made the request to change the plan. This is how it is:

    Rs 999 + taxes
    400kbps
unlimted acess 24 hours a day.
