major problem in internet connections? hi I have reliance broadband and bsnl broadband, I am getting error in site opening since last 4-5 days. relinace telling some major updation going.
please tell me if anybody facing problem. It seems major fault in all internet dsl connection or connectivity but no news coming out.
please let me know if anybody got news.

Wtf is going on with Reliance...... Is it just me or is the net[Reliance Broadband particularly] sucking big time for everyone too....
I have Reliance broadband 150kbps unlimited and it was working pretty well but since like 3 days the connection has gotten worse....i can login but when i open Google it sometimes manages to load and sometimes doesn't..... it's the same for the different sites i try to open[even their login site], it sometimes opens and sometimes doesn't......
And before when i used to have problems i could atleast call the,although worst, customer care but now their the lines are not working or are engaged for the past 1 week.......
I sometimes use a reliance data card and it works fine so I guess there is no issue with their network as such.
Have you tried changing your dns to open dns?
i don't know how to do that... could you guide me?... im having difficulty opening pages, it takes 10mins to load..... is "OpenDNS" a software?.

This is whats going on...every time i open a page it says "looking up so and so site" and either loads after a long time or doesn't...... if it doesn't it shows "Address cannot be found"....and if it loads, if i try to refresh the same page it again either loads or usually gives "Address cannot be found" which is really weird coz i have visited these sites before.... even google ain't working properly ... It's like it has amnesia!!!
I've tried Open Dns still the same problem....

I too am facing the same problem since Saturday. I called CC on Sunday afternoon, who told me the problem will get resolved by 5 p.m. !!!
Usual CC/Reliance bullshit, as it looks like the problem is still not resolved.
But funny thing is, when it was working more or less on Sunday, I was getting speeds in excess of 3 Mbps !!! My connection is upto 2Mbps.
ah.... so it's not just me.... thanks for the confirmation bluetooth.... does anyone really know what the problem is? coz i can't get through to CC......
I doubt if CC themselves know what is the problem !!!
Or even if they know, they will not tell. This is Reliance' way of working. Absolutely opaque way of working.
My guess is they also dont want to disclose information, otherwise someone may sue them or take legal action or whatever for deficient service.
Naturally, nobody is going to get any rent waiver automatically for what seems to be a Major downtime.
darn..... and i never had any problems for the past 3 weeks... when i was just about to think that reliance net has now gotten better this happens....... oh and when i called CC they asked to waiting to check my details and they then hung up on me[happened 3 times, didn't bother to try after that coz i'm calling from Bangalore to Mumbai and also the toll free number never works!!!!]!!!!!!! :x .......

But websites don't load. This is DNS problem. I've tried OpenDNS, Airtel DNS, Public DNS, BSNL DNS.. everything under the sun, but the problem persists. Most websites don't load. I hope this DNS server problem is solved soon...

same here i can use torrents...but most of the websites won't load.... also right now this is the only website working for me apart from the reliance login page....coz its really stupid!!........oh and last night[around 9pm~1am] it was working fine but today morning onwards its gone back to its same old state

this is the trick most of the times they say to calm you.
And also they try to close the previous call and reissue the new call as the present one closes early.
