R-CDMA is going to launch EVDO Rev.A datacard (no voice) within a month. They are currently on testing phase.

Price - Rs.3500/- + Rs.330/99 for Postpaid/Prepaid GSK

Postpaid plans
1. Pay as you go - Rs. 249 Rental - Rs.2/MB
2. Freedom 1GB - Rs.650 - Rs2/MB beyond 1GB
3. Freedom 2GB - Rs.850 - Rs.2/MB beyond 2GB
4. Unlimited Rs.1750
service tax extra
Full roaming at no extra cost

update on the plans,
Reliance FUP would limit use on unlimited plans to 10GB. A couple of other plans are also available. So the revised details are as follows,
Postpaid plans
1. Pay as you go - Rs. 249 Rental - Rs.2/MB
2. Freedom 1GB - Rs.650 - Rs2/MB beyond 1GB
3. Freedom 2GB - Rs.850 - Rs.2/MB beyond 2GB
4. Add-on Night Unlimited pack for above schemes Rs.199 (10PM-6AM)
5. Night Unlimited Rs.499 (10PM-6AM) Rs.2/MB beyond 10GB
6. Local Unlimited Rs.1099 - Rs.2/MB beyond 10GB No Roaming outside City limits
7. Unlimited Rs.1750 - Rs.2/MB beyond 10GB
service tax extra
Full roaming at no extra cost (except 6). In Non-EVDO cities, roaming on existing 2000 1x network.

But Jamnagar is an important town. so may be soon enough it will also be covered.

I got a usb modem last week

got the 5gb plan it is Rs1000 something. Gives good speed in Delhi and Mumbai.. yet to try it else where.

5GB is actually a lot of data transfer if its just for work and in my opinion its the best mobile broadband connection available in India right now

It would be great if Reliance could cover atleast the national highways and provide mobile broadband for those who travel by road.

Yes, for the present Reliance is the best mobile broadband option. And the level of response they are getting would sure tempt them to expand the service as fast as possible.

As already indicated in post #2 Full Roaming at no extra charge (except plan 6). Card changes to CDMA 1x mode (144 kbps) in cities not covered under EVDO.

So do I. but BSNL uses the Tarang WLL (landline) infrastructure for their EVDO cards. So roaming is not possible till they shift to full mobility mobile CDMA.
