Default 8 series numbers by Reliance

Reliance Communications is the first mobile company to announce the 8 series mobile number. The numbers which will begin with 8088 are only available from Reliance GSM and that too only in Karnataka for the time being.

So for those who are looking for a new connection from Reliance GSM, go now to get the new numbers which start with 8.

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Reliance Mobile's new GSM subscribers will soon be offered mobile connections with number stafrom '8' in the ting Delhi/NCR.

Reliance was recently allotted the new number series starting from 8010xxxxxx in the Delhi/NCR region.

C S Rana, Regional Head – Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan said "Reliance has always taken pride in pioneering and meeting exceedingly high customer value expectations. Now, we take pleasure in providing a completely new number series to customers. New series numbers are now readily available at retail outlets including Reliance Web Worlds and Reliance Mobile Stores.

Customers have an option to pick the numbers of their choice. Adding to our customers' mobile experience, we would shortly be announcing the mechanism for providing preferred numbers to our customers.

India, for over 15 years, has been using mobile numbers starting with '9xxxxxxxx'. But with the phenomenal growth in the mobile telephony with over one crore subscribers being added every month, the DoT is facing exhaustion of the 10-digit mobile numbers.
