    Default Reliance GPRS Roaming Charges

I've a Reliance GSM number. I would like to know whether there are any Reliance GPRS roaming charges? I've already purchased a GPRS pack of 1 GB for Rs. 125 valid for 30 days.

First, I am worried if my GPRS / Edge network will work at all while I'm travelling. The places where I'm going do have Reliance coverage. So that may not be the issue.

Also, I hope that they don't charge my main balance since I've already bought their costly GPRS pack... We'll find out soon!

Generally when travelling there is no charge on using your GPRS, a your only using your data which you have. But this is something which I thought would apply to any mobile service provider.

Apparently if there is no tower available near you when travelling your phone will be using another network and that's when you will get charged........but I don't know how true this is.

Im not sure about this, I think wait for some more Reliance users to reply, and if you dont find any solid information then give Reliance a call to clear things.

It is same with all network providers. While in Roaming if you are getting Reliance network then you would be charged from the GPRS pack else it would be from main account balance.

I'm back! I concur with all the users who said there will be no extra GPRS charges while on roaming. I went to places where Reliance network was available. Hence, it used all the data from my GPRS pack.

The good news is that Reliance has slashed 3G rates which are now lower than 2G. I hope it's a marketing gimmick and they should slash the price for 2G as well. Reliance 3G is not available in AP.

I dont know why anyone would every use anything other then Bsnl evdo if it was available. Yes in some cases people need speed and what not but for such things if you are a little tech savy then spend $5 at digitalocean and use the server for your downloading and whatever you may want to do at 50mbps+ speed

Ever since I found out about digitalocean I have stopped downloading stuff on my desktop directly and use the server to download first then leave my slow connection to download all night So anything that needs done quickly gets done very fast and I can get on with my work. This may not suit every one but for my kind of work its a perfect match

Rs750 per month for Bsnl evdo + $5 per month (Rs300) for digital ocean = Rs1050 per month. Its a steal at that price.

@Admin: spam.gif This thread is about Reliance mobile GPRS connection. Please provide info about it or a similar mobile GPRS/3G connection. BSNL EVDO or Digital Ocean will not help in getting my smartphone online.
