This 30 paisa and 40 paisa per min is for std calls too? Do these national free calls include mobile phones from other networks too?

If these free calls include calls to other networks then its worth getting a Reliance connection, as the monthly expenses on a calls would be reduced for someone like me.

I am going to get the Rs350 plan that give 1GB as I have bought a new mobile phone so that needs a simcard and the price of calls and data is good so why not. I think I would need to get a micro sim but not sure so will have to check when the phone arrives.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge but is it easy getting a Reliance GSM sim card, I mean can you just get it from any shop or does it have to be a Reliance shop?

You can buy a sim card from any near by shop. Does not have to be a Reliance outlet. You just need your ID and address proof that is all.

The plans in the first post are for GSM and CDMA. I have used Reliance netconnect for some time in the past and I find the speed and network quality to be good.

Can we use the same sim in a dongle as well, when needed?

Yes you would be able to use it in a dongle, but I would recommend that you use your phone as a modem rather than keep switching from the dongle to the phone and this way you can also make calls as per according to the plan.

I remember reading some where that Reliance is a bit strict about how you use their sim cards, those sim cards that are not meant to be used with data cards were reported as being canceled by some members when they used it in a dongle. I have not experienced this myself but a few posts on our forum suggests that this might be the case so to be on the safe side please give Reliance a call and find out. There is no such issue with Airtel or Vodafone as I have used them myself without a problem.

I find it a bit annoying because once you pay for certwin amount of data then it should be upto you how you want to use it.

Are these plans available for prepaid users or just postpaid? These Reliance One plans are quite decent and worth getting, as they provide a good amount of calling minutes as well as data which actually works out cheaper than other service providers.

for prepaid, there is a plan of Rs. 949 for 30 days, 2799 for 90 days & 4999 for 180 days. these are purely unlimited plans.. calling (std or local) to any network, sms (100 per day to any network anywhere) & unlimited evdo data.. am currently using 4999 plan.

Thank you Aaalok. I think the plans across India will pretty much be the same.

So if I get a normal Reliance sim card, I would just need to purchase the Reliance One plan, is that correct?
