Default Reliance USSD Based Mobile Banking

Reliance is soon going to be starting banking services on their their mobile phone users using USSD codes. The USSD code which users need to dial is *99# and this would work on any mobile phone device. Once this USSD code is dialled users will be allowed to choose their options for banking according to their bank. A choice of 29 nationalized banks is given.

Reliance has partnered with NCPI to incorporate the USSD service.

This service has been tested and will soon be launched for Reliance users. The charges for this service will be Rs1.50 per session.

Its a good service but security is an issue because its regarding your personal banking account. Net banking is easy anyway and you can access your bank using the browser.

For those who dont have access to the internet on their phones or don't get time to sit in front of the computer then what Reliance have introduced it is an easy way for users to do their banking. If it is a success then other service providers will also provide the same kind of service.
