Thread: Net Connect rates for prepaid

it was in 2004 when Dhiru Bhai Ambani gave India the 'karlo duniya mutthi mein' phones ...so like others too, my Father do purchased one nokia 2280.

time spent, and now he has a nokia N72( which is gsm with bsnl-official and one nokia 3500 with hutch private no.)
so he is not using much of his nokia 2280( a cdma phone) cause he has a postpaid account in his name given to Ma, which is now upgraded to an L.G phone, a cdma too( he made mistake twice))))



so now i have a question, that is, that if my nokia 2280 is living the life of destitution and its number keys are ungraceful too(which cannot be changed too)
why cant i have a cheap netconnect connection on it???


i asked the reliance people out there, about the net connect plans and they told some 400-600 Rs is charged for billing and also the rates apply /mb/minute..


anyone who is using the same type of reliance (prepaid net connect cheap) plan please tell me about any such,....



my needs are just for browsing..actually i use slow connection( edge, idea, nokia 3110c) on my laptop, usually i use it on terrace, where lines cant reach..i have airtel bb in home, and also in my cafe and comp centre...


i dont download much,,i need a mobile wireless connection thats cheap and can make this otherwise useless phone, RUNNING....

i range for paying is around Rs. 400/- to 600/- with no hassles in billing and little download creditnig,,,

i tried to sell it but cause its a cdma of reliance and which has no sim card jacket, thus i cannot sell it..


moreover, the phone's keys are crazy now, so i cant use it for calling and messaging too..

u can use it as a modem. since its a prepaid mobile connection, there is one tariff available
6 AM to 10 PM 60p/min
10 PM to 6 AM 30p/min
speeds upto 144 kbps (avr 80-90 kbps)

no volume based plan in prepaid mobile for R CDMA

you are right

As u mentioned, u need the connection only when ur on ur terrace or something and since u already have a aitel bb at home, why not simply but a wifi router. Why invest in something which is almost already dead!
