Thread: Why is this discrimination? Another of Reliance's gr8 works!

I got the bill yesterday, with it was a pamphlet saying "2 great offers from ...." Upgrade to 300kbps just paying Rs.50 extra... Well i just called em up only to hear, after giving all details for upgrading btw, that "Sir this upgrade is just for our wireline customers! Yes i'm a wimax customer.... but why the stupid discrimination??!!

Thats just lack of competetion. Those who have wimax probbably have it because they do not have an alternative and this is what lets them have different prices

Give it another 2 years and you will see these same companies giving good offers every where with reduced prices aswell.

So does this mean that they are still giving new connections at 300kbps @999??

i got a 400kbps wimax connection for Rs.999 in b'lore,not better than Airtel though ,MY previous one was airtel DSL 512 kbps for Rs.999,it was awesome i would say compared to Reliance.

For consumers i think BSNL has the best speed in India for reasonable rates,but the wait time is a huge headache.The Rs 500 plan from BSNL which gives upto 2mbps(unlimited only in the nights ) is nice i heard.

Yeh the 300 kbps @ 999 per month plan has been discontinued for new subscribers. All lower bandwidth unlimited plans have also been discontinued.

24/7 unlimted access now starts from Rs 999 + taxes per month, for 400kbps of bandwdith.

i converted my plan of flatfee 150 to 300, 10 days ago i am also a wimax consumer i dont have any problem.

Then i guess i'm the unluckiest person on earth!... maybe they stopped upgrading soon after u upgraded? cause i checked with them 1 week ago n u 10 days ago... I'll check with them again... see what happens... Damn this reliance!

Well i just again checked up and they said they have 'discontinued it now'... meaning they were giving it earlier... i hate them.

What these idiots (reliance) don't realize is that as soon as people will get another decent isp (namely airtel) they will take no time switching to it...
If they wud've upgraded me to 300kbps for the 799 i wud hav never went for airtel today when it has reached my area.
So in the end they will lose their customers... was it so hard to guess by them?

I finally got my bandwidth increase. ^_^

lol... no worries mate, i was too much irritated by reliance at the time to overlook your post. i dont have anything against them now though as i have airtel

They themselves are the losers.
