    Hi xxx1312

you can check reliance wimax reviews under Reliance Wimax and this lag while playing online is interleaving, you can confirm this with reliance people too as most of the users don't know about it.

This is my connection. I reside in Bandra west. Reliance wimax- 600kbps connection on a wireless router connection to desktop. Since I cant post URL till 15 posts, I am getting 895 kbps download line speed, 1779 kbps upload, 74ms with distance <50 miles. This test is done via speedtest. However this is a 2 day old connection and they said that they will take till 7-10 days till becomes 600kbps and stable.

I need a isp mainly for gaming .My current isp is hathway , which is cheap good for downloading , surfing but sucks for gaming . So only other option besides these 2 is mtnl which is very expensive .
btw why is tata wimax available in mumbai? many people say its is there in mumbai , but tata helpline staff said they provide internet thru cable in mumbai :|

Who ever has told u that it will take 7-10 days to "BECOME" 600kbps has taken u for a ride. It has to be 600kbps from day one. And there is no gestation period to for it to become STABLE. Connection has to be stable & giving u the plan speed which u hv opted for, from the installation time.

Never get a wireless connection for gaming. There's always lag issues. I get like 230~250 ms ping at all times. But then again, I play european games.

Default some spikes in gaming in last 2 months

i faced some spikes, disconnects in the last months citing reasons as updating system in months of October which left me without net for 8 days and some major spike issues this month of November and momentary disconnects for 5 days citing reasons as Mumbai server down.i use 150kbps flatfee (750 rs pm + vat/taxes).in gaming i m not receiving any issues though right now after they corrected their problem.but i heard that airtel is better in general ;though never tried it.i play cod 4 ; warcraft dota on garena [if any other games u play ...update me.thanks in advance ]

anusheri: doubted. Getting a frequency in Bandra west was pretty difficult and we got the wimax signal only in one akward situation. Getting a good download speed of 200-220 kbps in the mid night and lag has decreased a lot :-D.

Any wireless method of internet access will always give you more lag (latency) than a wireline media. Wireless internet is generally not recommended for gaming. Hell, an Indian ISP isn't recommended for gaming, but that's an issue for some other day.
