Thread: Long wait for R Wimax

1) I had applied for Reliance Wimax on the 25th of October 2008. The person said that it would come within 7 days. Its the 6th of november and still haven't got the connection. Everytime I call him he says i'll get it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. He also asks me if i received any call from their side to which i say no coz i havn't. He says he is working on it.
Is there any other no. from where i can find out the status of my internet. Generally how long does it take between application and installation?

2) Also i format my windows every 2-3 weeks. So will i need to call those guys everytime or do they give cds through which i can run the set-up by myself?

My area is Dahisar, Mumbai

Same happpened with , infact i had asked for connection on 20 th october .
I keep calling em thrice a week they always say we will send someone . Even state owned Mtnl doesnt take so long . Its like begging , I have to call em again and again, I will be more happy they just say we cant give you the connection instead of the same old assurances .

Same story with me, I applied on 15th Oct still waiting for connection and just following up with them. They tell that there is some problem with dish stock will be resolved shortly.
If any body gets connection in few days pl. let me known, if I get sooner I'll let you know.

They had severe shortage of SS so there were no installation during the month of october. But now there is no problem so u all guys shud get installation ne time. Another thing is Reliance has introduced new schemes in wimax. If u pay 3 months advance rental than ur installation charges are waived. So a discount of Rs.562/-. ask ur dealer for more clarifications.

About the shortage thing , they should have the courtesy to inform us atleast .
Who really wants to pay 3 months advance rental to reliance? If they really want to give discount then they should reduce tariffs . This new installation charges discount is just a gimmick , it wont benefit the customers . Reading relaince reviews on this forum , we can easily assume relaince is the most unreliable ISP .

Why go for Rel Wimax? Opt for BSNL/MTNL or Airtel instead.

I had mtnl triband but got it disconnected because of download limits. would like to opt for airtel, but it's not available in my area!

You are lucky ! Each time i call em , they give me different numbers each time ( ahsok , raameez , vishal , and many more names) and the funny thing is that these numbers don exist

i finally got my connection today after making multiple calls!!

Hi I also got connection today, long wait and followup but I think worth it than my previous local cable connection.

i had also faced the same prob but got resolved by mailing reliancr cust care .any reliance speed is good.....
