what is 18- 19 is it the download speed and what is ur connection plan ......if u have 400kbps plan u should get close to 40-50kB/s download speed. if not the deployment of the wimax reciever is not proper.

its bad signal strength. it shud be 22 or above. Normaly reliance ppl dont install the connection if signal strength is like this. Still....are u happy with the dwnld speed & surfing...

Log into your CPE and check the wimax status page where you will find all the values.

this lag while playing games is known as interleaving which is ON by default in most of the Broadband profiles.
Please check it with reliance wimax cust. care

you need to go to internet explorer and then need to type the address of your cpe in address bar.

It will ask you for a username and password which you can get from reliance otherwise please post your cpe details so that we can help you with username and password of your cpe

    Isn't lag about the routing?

    1) goto your LAN adapter properties. Set the following values:

    IP Address: 192.168.1.2
    Subnet: 255.255.255.0
    DNS: 192.168.1.1
Save the changes, then Disable, then enable the LAN adapter to set the new settings immediately.

    2) in your browser (opera / Internet explorer / Firefox ) enter the address
    192.168.1.1

192.168.1.1 is the address of the white box / CPE that reliance usually provides. This is responsible for assigning an ip to your PC. Hence, the format of the ip address will be 192.168.1.x Do bear in mind, that this is a local connection i am talking about, that lets you "look into" the whitebox. SO, to let both devices see eachother, they must have the same ip addres upto the 1st three fields.
The reliance web ip is on a different subnet. it doesnt let you access the CPE. If you set up your local connection like I'd shown in my previous post, you will be able to get it.

if you'd searched the other threads in this forum, you'd have known this.

And there's nothing you can do to get games to run better. It's up the the company to set the routing.

Wimax is pathetic for gaming ! Its routing sucks , It gives high ping and spikes a lot !
    Its worse than hathway !
All gamers with wimax should complain to these relaince wimax ppl and hope they do somehting to improve online gaming experience!

Wireless systems are sucky for gaming. It's a rule. I've never seen a wireless system that allowed for smooth gaming. Even in wifi gaming routers.

Wimax is not that bad when it comes to strategy games, if you want to play fps games it's unplayable. But wireline connections are not that good in India either. I have a reliance wimax connection, and I get pings of 300-600 while playing age of empires. I think it is even worse for me because the signal I get at my place is really sucky. It hovers around 15 - 16. Recently I switched to 1000kbps plan of reliance and then realized that because of the signal problem it would not support that much speed, so had to swich back to a lower speed plan.

Are you sure that the max signal strength is 64, cause I heard people getting signal in the vicinity of 24-25 only.
    Reply would be appreciated

I don't think max signal strength is 64. I see it in the gui and from there I can see that 15 is half, so max should be 30.
