Thread: need help

Hi, I have a rel wimax connection...
when i plug the wire into my laptop, it works fine ,,, but when i plug it into my pc , it only works for like 5 mins.. and then i cant browse anymore.... it was working fine on the pc till a few days back when it was reported that some rel undersea cables were cut, but now i cant use it on the pc at all... i can only login and then browse for 5 mins....whereas it works fine on the laptop
pls help... is it a virus problem?

Suggest that you always use an appropriate title for your thread.

it is not a virus issues, first clean up ur system, this how it needs to be don

go to RUN command and type "%temp%" this will delete all temporary files, follow the same process however this time type "prefetch", this will all shadow files from ur system. Once done do a disk clean up.

Once u are thru with this to IPv4 setting, make sure the it is checked at Automatically get IP and automatically get DNS , stuff like that. If this heps great or else call reliance customer care they will be more than ready to help u. I hope u have the customer servise numbers.

also check if ur pc has PCI LAN card , check the transfer mode of lan card,its 10Mbps half mode for reliance whereas it is 100Mbps full mode by default..
