Thread: Slow Speeds, UnderSea cable cuts, and when its getting repaired

As you all Guys might have noticed that Reliance is the most affected due
to undersea cable cuts. I have been digging news as to when it is going to get repaired
On Thursday. 25th there was an intermittent bump in speed. but ever since
19th Dec Speed on reliance wimax has been pathetic. I also have a tata adsl connection...and they have restored the speed with additional back up.


My reading into to news is that the undersea cable will get restored by the Year end.

i would beg to differ, i had no issues with speed on the internet whatsoever even after the undersea cable issue

it seems this forum has developed a dislike to reliance wimax. Why don't we all write to Reliance and ask them for replies. How does that sound.!!

All isps buy/get bandwidth from diff. sources. If reliance is getting its bandwidth from this cable than definetly they are going to get affected. Tata must b getting its bandwidth from diff. source & coming from diff. way so they might not have been affected. I heard that Airtel was also hit badly...

@ashraf seems to be right....reliance wimax has more or less become whipping boy. Not only me & I have more than 10 friends who will vouch for wimax's performance, stability. U call their CC & get the faulty ticket & than see. U bet u will get a call within 2 hours.

Reliance has improved a looooooooooooot.

Reliance says it has repaired the cable


Rcom says that the cable has been repaired by year end...but a Jordanian new paper states that the repair work is going to get done by the 5th.



Guys how has your speed fared in the past few days?



by the way Its good to hear that reliance has been the first in repairing its faulty cable.

Rcom today officially announced that the cable has been repaired
even other cables like smw3, and smw4 are fully repaired.
But Yestarday I checked the speed of Wimax service it was still very slow.

I suggest members here post how has been their experience. in the past few days?
