I have no definite idea but if Wimax antenna config is similar to dish antenna config (for DTH), then without proper tools and instruments, it may not be possible.

    Default cant get online

had applied for wimax connection and next day the installer was available.
he did some setup of antena(tesima i guess). and just plugged the network cable to my laptop. set the obtain ip automatically option and was checking if the network was available. but my lappy was showing "network cable disconnected".
the guy got another of his latptop and showed me that net was available on it.
he then left and assured me that someone will come later next day.
now even after 2 days no one had turned up.
in case you guys know how to fix this, then do let me know.

    Thanks,
    Chetan

    Smile

Assign static ip address to your PC in the subnet 192.168.1.x

    Then try to access 192.168.1.1
However, i doubt if you will be able to do much with the SS login as the device provisioning is done remotely and signal scanning is automated.
Though you can see some signal strength stats and interface statistics.

Does anyone know if Reliance SS (Subscriber Station) requires Line of Sight(LOS) or is it a Non Line of Sight(NLOS) deployment?

Smile Yes. Line of Sight is required.

Reliance WiMAX requires Line of Sight.
I have this connection and I am happy with it

    Hi,

Reliance Wimax are using two types of modem one is from Telsima/Starmax whoes IP is 192.168.1.1 & username password is root/telsimawl.
Other modem they use is from USI whoes IP is 169.254.1.1 & username password for same is admin/admin. to connect telsima modem u need to configure lan ip as 192.168.0.10 (Otherthan 192.168.1.1) & for USI lan ip may be 169.254.1.10 (again other than 169.254.1.1).

Please do not change anything as both the modems configuration are not user friendly as ADSL/Wifi Modem. U can not configure DHCP/auto login unless & untill TReliance people configure from their server side.

    Enjoy,
    Pratik
